‘Big Brother 19’ Update: News, Spoilers, And Rumors About ‘BB19’ Cast And Summer 2017 Installment

This Big Brother 19 update provides news on potential spoilers, BB19 cast rumors, and information on how the summer 2017 season is going to work. While producers are keeping a lot of information under wraps, there are still a lot of discussions taking place on social media. As of today, there is exactly one month until the June 28 season premiere, giving Big Brother fans reason to start getting excited about the summer 2017 installment.

A report by CBS revealed when the Big Brother 19 season premiere will take place, again serving as a two-night event on the network. The first BB19 episode will be two hours long on June 28 (8 p.m. PT/ET), followed by a one-hour episode the next day at 9 p.m. PT/ET (June 29). From there the reality competition show will fall into its regular time slots of Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights each week. It will be a busy summer for CBS, as the network will also debut the new live-action game show Candy Crush on July 9.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, CBS has also released its first round of promotions for this summer, including television commercials and online advertisements. Casting director Robyn Kass and host Julie Chen have also been spurring excitement on social media by posting hints about the BB19 cast, videos of past seasons, and pictures of people who have been involved in the show. That should only continue as June 28 draws near.

Currently, CBS is running a contest on its Big Brother Facebook page to determine who fans feel were the most memorable houseguests in the history of the show. Viewers vote on head-to-head matchups, with the winner of each round advancing in the bracket. It’s a way for viewers to take a look back at the first 19 seasons of the show and remember some of the most infamous cast members.

Some of the familiar names in the contest to be named the most memorable houseguest of all time are Rachel Reilly, Mike Boogie Malin, Evel Dick Donato, Frankie Grande, Dr. Will Kirby, Britney Haynes, Nicole Franzel, Jordan Lloyd, and Janelle Pierzina. Some of those names have been on the show twice before, but there are currently a few Big Brother 19 rumors on social media suggesting this is a way to bring some fan favorites back for the BB19 cast.

While no returning cast members have been confirmed for this summer, it is a familiar tactic from show producers to cast some “new blood” and then re-introduce popular names from the past. With the Big Brother 18 cast, 12 new houseguests entered the game and were later joined by four returning houseguests. Nicole Franzel, who has been on the show previously, ended up becoming the Big Brother 18 winner by defeating Paul Abrahamian in a jury vote.

It would not be very surprising if producers decided to add a lot of new faces to the BB19 cast and then use a twist to bring back some fan favorites. The ongoing contest would be an easy way to do it, as it will show which former players that fans would most likely watch during a new season. An overwhelming sentiment on social media, though, is that fans want to see mostly (if not all) new faces when the final Big Brother 19 cast announcement is made.

Live feeds will again be available through the use of the CBS All Access application, giving subscribers a chance to see the houseguests interact on a daily basis. A current promotion allows viewers to watch past seasons of the show, including Big Brother: Over The Top, which was a fall 2016 season done entirely online. There are a lot of Big Brother 19 rumors floating around, but fans can look forward to the official BB19 cast announcement that will likely come out around the second week of June.
