Joy-Anna Duggar Wedding: Jessa, Jill, And Jinger Greet Their Sister, But Where Is Josh?

Photos and videos of Joy-Anna Duggar’s wedding to Austin Forsyth have been released, and Josh Duggar is noticeably absent from the celebration. Did the eldest Duggar sibling skip Joy’s wedding, or has he been deliberately cropped out of the family photos?

Duggar siblings greet Joy-Anna

In their official website, the Duggar family posted details of Joy-Anna’s wedding on May 26, 2017. Aside from the photo of the bride and groom, there are video messages from Joy’s siblings–all but big brother Josh.

The videos are categorized into three posts: congratulations from the couple’s parents and grandparents, messages from married couples, and greetings from Duggar brothers and sisters.

Counting On stars Jessa, Jill, and Jinger all taped sweet messages with their husbands. The Duggar sisters are wearing matching navy blue dresses, which means they might have been bridesmaids at the wedding.

“Congratulations, Joy and Austin! We are so excited for you and so happy that your day is finally here,” Jill said in her video.

“Joy, just seeing you grow up and mature into a godly young woman and now seeing your love for Austin, we are so excited for you guys,” Jinger greeted. Jessa filmed her greeting with husband Ben Seewald and their two children.

“Hey, Joy and Austin! Congrats on the wedding! We’re so excited for y’all! We look forward to hanging out with you guys when you get back from your honeymoon.”

Even the younger Duggar kids filmed short but sweet congratulations for Joy. Interestingly, Josh and his wife Anna are missing. Not only are they not in any video greeting, there is also no sighting of them in the leaked photos.

Where is Josh Duggar?

The Facebook fan page Duggar Family News: Life is not all pickles and hairspray obtain some pictures from Joy and Austin’s wedding ceremony and reception. There are pictures of guests, relatives, and friends. Everyone was included, even Jana Duggar who didn’t have a video message for her sister, but was snapped at the wedding venue with her friends.

So why is Josh Duggar missing in action? Josh has been staying under the radar after his child molestation scandal two years ago.

In 2015, Josh publicly admitted to molesting young girls as a teen, including his own sisters. He also confessed to cheating on his wife Anna and being addicted pornography. Following the shocking controversy, their hit TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting was canceled and Josh went into a faith-based rehab.

In his statement at that time, Josh called himself “the biggest hypocrite ever,” In Touch reported.

“I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain, and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.”

Even if Josh isn’t as visible as his sisters are these days, the eldest 19 Kids and Counting sibling is expected to be at the occasion. After all, the Duggars are known to be fiercely family-oriented and a wedding is a big deal.

Some fans presume that Josh and Anna actually attended Joy’s wedding, but were left out from photos to avoid more drama. Josh’s molestation case still hangs in the air, especially now that Jessa, Jill, Jinger, and Joy-Anna are suing Arkansas officials and In Touch for releasing and publishing the news.

“I wonder if Josh will be hidden from Joy’s wedding episode, like he was for Jinger’s,” one fan commented on Facebook.

It can be noted that Josh and wife Anna were present for Jinger and Jeremy’s wedding in 2016. However, on the wedding special for Counting On, the two were edited out.

Despite divorce rumors, Josh and Anna are still together. They are expecting their fifth child–a boy–later this year.

Fans will surely get a more detailed look on Joy and Austin’s wedding once it airs on Counting On. The new season premieres on June 12 on TLC.
