Stassi Schroeder Will Remain Katie And Tom’s Third Wheel Despite Reunion With Boyfriend Patrick
Stassi Schroeder has no plans to put an end to her role as the unofficial third wheel of her best friend, Katie Maloney, and Maloney’s husband, Tom Schwartz.
Months after taking part in the Vanderpump Rules couple’s honeymoon, Stassi Schroeder responded to a fan who wanted to know if she would be leaving her tag-along behavior in the past now that she and her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Patrick Meagher, are back on.
“That will never stop. Tom Kat’s third wheel until I die,” Stassi Schroeder wrote.
Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney had a falling out during Vanderpump Rules Season 3 after Schroeder suddenly quit her job at SUR Restaurant and relocated from Los Angeles to New York City to be closer to her boyfriend, Meagher. After her move, Maloney struck up a friendship with Scheana Marie and attended her joint bachelor/bachelorette party in Miami with her now-ex-husband Mike Shay.
Because of Stassi Schroeder’s past issues with Scheana Marie, she wasn’t happy to hear that Maloney was acting civilly towards her and their relationship remained strained for several months. Then, after Maloney became engaged without her one-time best friend present, Stassi Schroeder knew she needed to reach out and did so first through Maloney’s now-husband.
After speaking to Tom Schwartz, Stassi Schroeder made amends with Katie Maloney and the two reality stars have been thick as thieves ever since.
Although many expected Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz to enjoy their honeymoon alone as they took in the sights of Bora Bora and embarked on several romantic moments, Schwartz later admitted that after several days of mushy love with his new wife, he was ready to hang out with Stassi Schroeder.
“‘We were like that for like four or five nights, romantic quiet bliss, and then we were like, we’re ready to party… and then Stassi showed up. We invited her, she didn’t crash it as such,” he explained to the Daily Mail.
“‘It was an on-going joke for like a year,” he continued. “Stassi had recently got out of a long-term relationship, she’s kind’ve been our third wheel, and we joked for the whole year leading up to it, ‘so you are coming on the honeymoon.'”
Stassi Schroeder also later addressed her role in Maloney and Schwartz’s honeymoon.
“As a single lady going on a honeymoon, I will say when they left, not so exciting. Kind of depressing. I sat in my hut, cried, listened to Celine Dion, drank a bottle of wine by myself. It was tough,” she told The Daily Dish. “But now I know what to do and what not to do on honeymoons.”

On May 23, Radar Online confirmed Stassi Schroeder and Patrick Meagher were back together nearly a year after the reality star announced their split during an emotional appearance on her podcast series, Straight Up With Stassi.
As the outlet revealed, Meagher, a radio host, appeared on the On the Stock Room Floor podcast, where he confirmed he and Stassi Schroeder were back on and revealed he was set to start filming for the upcoming sixth season of Vanderpump Rules.
According to Meagher, he will likely be quite boring on the show because he doesn’t want to have any drama with anyone. As fans may recall, Stassi Schroeder previously said Meagher was not open to joining the show..
Stassi Schroeder and her co-stars are currently in the midst of filming the sixth season of Vanderpump Rules. The show will return to Bravo later this year.
