Kim Kardashian Deletes ‘Tasteless’ Manchester Attack Tribute After Being Criticized For Being ‘Self-Centered’

Kim Kardashian reportedly deleted her controversial Manchester attack tribute after facing major backlash for being “self-centered” and “tasteless.”

On May 23, Kim Kardashian took to Instagram and Twitter to express her sympathy over the tragic Manchester bombing at Ariana Grande’s concert. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was one of the many celebrities who paid tribute to the deadly terrorist attack.

However, Kim Kardashian somehow stood out among the rest for an unlikely reason, reports claimed. Apparently, many were not pleased by the reality star’s “tasteless” post, blasting her for being self-absorbed and insensitive.

The 36-year-old mother of two initially shared sympathetic words to the victims of Manchester attack. Kim Kardashian tweeted, “I’m praying for everyone in Manchester. This is truly so senseless & heartbreaking.”

“I can’t imagine the fear and agony these parents must be going through searching for their kids.”

The Glam Masters star then posted a photo of herself hanging out with younger sister Kendall Jenner, Hailey Baldwin, and Ariana Grande. The snap appeared to be taken from a concert.

Kim Kardashian captioned the photo with a tone of concern for not being safe even in places and event where people are supposed to have fun.

“Concerts are supposed to be a place where [you] can let loose and have fun. It’s so scary to not feel safe in this world. My heart goes out to [Ariana Grande]. I love you.”

Kim Kardashian’s Manchester attack tribute quickly drew negative reactions from angered fans. Many raised their eyebrows for the reality star’s choice of photo as a tribute to a tragedy.

One fan bluntly pointed out, “The need for you to post a pic of yourself…disgusting.” Another one commented, “True narcissism is when someone can flip a tragedy and make themselves the center of attention.”

Others called out Kim Kardashian for being self-centered, saying, “Only you Kim would find an opportunity to post a pic of yourself during this outrage.”

Shortly after the backlash, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star decided to delete the controversial post after negative and hateful comments kept pouring in.

Although Kim Kardashian already deleted the photo, one user was able to snatch a screenshot of the post and mocked the reality star’s move.

“We’re never going to forget when you posted an inappropriate pic and made the Manchesterbombing all about you. (Screenshots are forever)”

Despite the negative feedbacks, avid fans of Kim Kardashian came to her defense, reiterating the fact that the photo was not focused solely on the reality star but with Ariana Grande as well.

One fan defended, “Kim and Ariana are on the pic. She was showing support to the traumatized Ariana,” while another one commented, “It’s to show how much she loves Ariana! To show her love for her! Kim has also tweeted about Manchester!”

The tragic Manchester attack at Ariana Grande’s concert on May 22 left 22 fans dead and over 59 injured. Reports revealed that the suspect has been identified by the police as Salman Abedi. Abedi, 22, allegedly detonated a bomb, inflicting harm to the crowd.

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian, who faces endless rumors of marital issues with husband Kanye West, was spotted with the rapper on a lunch date in Malibu.

On Tuesday, the power couple was photographed together heading to Nobu restaurant where they reportedly spend the afternoon dining together.

Kanye West recently stepped out after being away at a mountaintop retreat in Wyoming to find inspiration for his upcoming album.

“He always records in different remote places. For years it was Jamaica.”

So far, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have not commented on marital issues being thrown at them.
