Ariana Grande Lands Safely Back In The U.S., To Go Into Hiding After Terrorist Attack

Ariana Grande has landed back in the United States, safe and sound, after the horrifying incident at her concert at the Manchester Arena last night in which 22 people are confirmed dead, with as many as 60 people in the hospital due to an attack by ISIS. The pop star took off from Birmingham International Airport at 7 a.m. local time this morning. She was met by her boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller, at the tarmac as she landed in her hometown of Boca Raton, Florida.

An eyewitness to her landing said that Mac Miller was there immediately for support.

“Mac ran up to give her a hug and kiss right after her plane landed,” they said.

The singer is taking the event to heart and is blaming herself for the attack. Inside sources reveal that she spent last night in tears, and likely didn’t sleep much after the incident.

“Ariana is inconsolable. She’s absolutely heartbroken. She can’t believe this happened. She spent the night crying with her backup dancers and saying how much she adores her fans,” a source said.

Ariana Grande tweeted to her fans that she was so sorry about what took place, even though it was beyond her control.

Internet trolls, however, tragically attacked her for trying to process the events. While most people supported the star, some anonymous Twitter accounts said that the star was responsible for what had happened, or stated that her words were cheap.

“Empty words do nothing for the grieving families,” one troll wrote.

The star, however, has decided not to take any more chances. No doubt traumatized by the incident, she has suspended her Dangerous Woman Tour indefinitely. The tour began in the United States, where she played dozens of major cities, before coming to Europe earlier this month. She played Stockholm, Oslo, Herning, Amsterdam, Birmingham, and Dublin before the Manchester concert. She planned to continue her tour in Europe through mid-June before jetting off to South America and then Asia. However, she hasn’t stated when she will feel up to performing again.

Sources close to the pop star say that she is planning to go into hiding while she heals and has decided to beef up her security team.

“Ariana is quadrupling her security team, and has decided to go into hiding. She has put her entire staff on hiatus until further notice.”

She will likely be staying in Boca Raton, Florida, with her family while she takes the time she needs to process and grieve.

Her mother, Joan, was at the concert when the incident happened and has been reported as ushering fans backstage after the incident and keeping them safe until they could go back outside and meet their families.

Although 22 people have been killed, only a few of their names have been released to the press thus far. Towns and cities all over the United Kingdom held vigils to honor the victims and those who were injured during the attack.

Many people are still missing and their families have been unable to get in touch with them. Some parents are scouring hospitals in the area to try and find their family members. Efforts to find the missing people have been ramped up via social media, where strangers are pitching in to help reunite family and friends.

Salman Abedi has been named responsible for the bombing. He was born in Manchester and attended Salford University in the city, but dropped out before completing the degree. He has been described as friendly and an upstanding member of the community, and a childhood friend said there was “nothing to suggest he was violent.”
