The Growing Scandal
Bill Cosby: An American Scandal on Investigation Discovery will recount that for decades, Bill Cosby was considered the most doting dad on television. With his loving discipline, jokes, and family fun, Bill Cosby was the poster father for all generations and races. What people didn’t know in those days was that behind the role of fatherhood lurked a nasty rumor that only those in Hollywood were privy to. The rumor had to do with Bill Cosby allegedly drugging several women before having sex with them in the 1960s.
The allegations wouldn’t come to light and wouldn’t touch America’s mainstream until many years later, most notably in 2005. However, the Bill Cosby scandal exploded in 2014 when several former acquaintances, including Linda Joy Traitz, accused Bill of raping them and giving them a drink spiked with drugs, Bill Cosby: An American Scandal will show.
News of the allegations hit everyone like a ton of bricks and shocked the American public and fans alike. It split fans straight down the middle, with many believing in Bill Cosby’s innocence and others condemning him for cheating on his wife, Camille, and allegedly violating women’s rights.
The Inquisitr brought you the story featuring the most recent allegations in 2015, when it was featured on Dateline NBC. In that documentary, several women gave their disturbing accounts of drugs and rape at the hands of Bill Cosby.
Even actress Michelle Hurd came forward with her story in response to Bill Cosby’s supporters who insist that the accusers are lying. You can read about Michelle Hurd’s accusation here.
According to the Los Angeles Times, California prosecutors presented the judge with the testimony of Andrea Constand, who accused Bill Cosby of assaulting her in 2004. The judge found that there was enough evidence to move forward.
