‘Teen Mom 2’ Kailyn Lowry’s Post-Baby Plans Revealed: Is She Planning To Date After Baby Daddy Chris Lopez?
Kailyn Lowry is expected to give birth in the coming weeks, and after she does, Teen Mom 2 fans shouldn’t be looking for her to get back to dating.
After a failed relationship with Chris Lopez left Kailyn Lowry pregnant and single, a source claims the pregnant reality star is planning to steer clear of all romance as she focuses on her growing family and her career.
“[Kailyn Lowry] doesn’t want to date anyone at all, doesn’t matter the gender,” an insider told Radar Online on May 22. “She has no interest in a relationship anytime soon.”
Instead, the source continued, Kailyn Lowry will be “focusing on her kids” and “finding a job in the field she has a degree in.” As fans will recall, Kailyn Lowry graduated from Delaware State University earlier this month with a bachelor degree.
Although Kailyn Lowry had success in her education endeavors this year, her personal life has been plagued with drama. Following her May 2016 split from former husband Javi Marroquin, Kailyn Lowry began dating Chris Lopez, and in January, he spoke of his miracle child on Twitter and seemingly joked about a bet he and Lowry had with one another. Then, just weeks later, Lowry confirmed her pregnancy and told fans she was not involved in a romantic relationship with anyone.
Now, as she prepares to give birth, Kailyn Lowry and Chris Lopez are reportedly estranged.
“[Kailyn Lowry] doesn’t have his number,” the Radar Online source said. “He disconnected his phone.”
“[Kailyn Lowry] became a relationship of convenience for him,” a source close to the Teen Mom 2 star added. “He never actually loved her. It was a relationship, but he just decided he wanted something different and things didn’t work out so they went their separate ways.”
Kailyn Lowry confirmed her pregnancy on February 23 with a blog post to fans. In the post, Kailyn Lowry admitted that her situation wasn’t ideal and explained why she told Marroquin she didn’t want more children just months before getting pregnant with Lopez’s baby.
“I didn’t want to bring another child into a failing marriage,” she revealed. “Shortly after I started having complications, the option of having more kids was almost taken away from me. When I started thinking long and hard, I knew I wanted more. This was the choice I made. This is the baby I thought I wasn’t sure if I could have. I know this isn’t an ideal situation but I know everything will be okay… Having another child is something I am so happy about and I just can’t wait. My boys are so excited, those who love me are so excited, and I hope that everyone can just be happy for me during this time.”
Kailyn Lowry is the mother of seven-year-old Isaac from her past relationship with Jo Rivera and three-year-old Lincoln from her marriage to Marroquin.
Kailyn Lowry hasn’t confirmed her official due date quite yet, and when it comes to a name for her third child, she will be waiting until the baby arrives to find out the gender before selecting a name.
Kailyn Lowry has reportedly received support from her former boyfriend, Jo Rivera, but when it comes to her relationship with Marroquin, things between them have been strained at times. That said, they recently attended one of Isaac’s soccer games together.
Kailyn Lowry and her family are currently in the midst of filming Teen Mom 2 Season 8. No word yet on when the new season will air on MTV.
