WWE News: Braun Strowman Shows Off Elbow Injury, Declares Recovery And Revenge On Roman Reigns

Braun Strowman might be out of action within the confines of the WWE’s squared circle right now, but the Monster Among Men continues to have a strong impact on wrestling fans nonetheless. After undergoing surgery for a shattered elbow, Strowman has been pretty open with his fans, constantly updating them on the progress of his recovery. In a recent update, the Monster Among Men revealed how his shoulder looked post-surgery, issuing a threat to Roman Reigns at the same time.

Interestingly, the update came in the form of an Instagram post from Strowman’s personal profile under his real name, Adam Scherr. In the update, Strowman showed off his recently repaired elbow, boldly declaring that the pain he currently feels would be nothing compared to the pain he would be inflicting as soon as he gets back in the ring. Interestingly, Strowman’s post also carried the hashtag #ImNotFinishedWithYou, which all but confirmed that he would be continuing his feud with Roman Reigns when he returns to the WWE.

Braun Strowman’s post has managed to get more than 20,000 likes in the first 16 hours of the post being uploaded, and it has managed to get over 800 comments from casual WWE fans and his avid supporters alike. The reaction of the Instagram WWE community has been mostly positive, with many airing their support for Strowman and his tenacity. Others, however, were less supportive, stating that he should just drop the feud with Reigns when he comes back.

Considering the history between Strowman and Reigns, the rivalry between the two powerhouses would most likely continue even after the Monster’s return. After all, the Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns feud has so far proven to be one of the most compelling rivalries in WWE today. The reaction of the WWE universe to Strowman’s elbow injury updates remains significant proof that fans’ interest in the two wrestlers’ ongoing dispute is really there.

Braun Strowman’s legitimate injury to his elbow was written in by WWE writers, culminating in Reigns’ attack on the Monster’s shoulder during the May 8 episode of RAW. By May 15, WWE confirmed that Strowman would need major surgery to repair his injury. According to Bleacher Report, WWE eventually announced that Strowman would be out of the ring for up to six months. Needless to say, fans of the Monster Among Men were extremely disappointed.

The idea of Strowman missing up to six months of in-ring action was disheartening, but noted WWE podcaster Dave Meltzer had stated that Strowman would likely return to the WWE far earlier than expected, according to a WrestlingRumors report. Meltzer further said that WWE had made Strowman’s injury seem far worse than it is in order to integrate his quick recovery in his ongoing feuds and storylines.

“Six weeks, eight weeks. The idea is that he’ll be back for SummerSlam. I don’t know if he’ll be booked with Brock Lesnar, but that would sure make sense, because he was originally going to headline the July show with Lesnar, and whoever was gonna headline SummerSlam, which I presume was Seth Rollins, will probably be the one who headlines the July show, and they’ll just flip-flop it.”

Overall, Meltzer believes that WWE would use Strowman’s return from his injury as an added means to establish his status as the wrestling firm’s Monster Among Men. After all, WWE fans are currently expecting him to be out of action for up to six months. Thus, his return after just a couple of months would most definitely be shocking for WWE fans. While Strowman’s return seems imminent, the only question remaining is if he would end up battling his arch-enemy, Roman Reigns, or if he would go after someone different, such as Brock Lesnar, for Summerslam. Either way, fans of the Monster Among Men can rest assure that Strowman will definitely make a massive splash when he returns.
