‘Teen Mom OG’ Amber Portwood Responds To Pregnancy Rumors On Twitter After Matt Baier Split Rumors
Could Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood be pregnant as she and Matt Baier face a potential split?
Following numerous reports claiming Matt Baier recently failed a lie detector test in regard to his potential cheating, the longtime reality star and mother of 8-year-old Leah was confronted with a rumor claiming she is currently expecting a child on Twitter.
“Breaking! [Teen Mom OG] Amber Announces Pregnancy,” read a May 21 headline shared by Big Facts Online.
Over the weekend, a fan sent the link to Amber Portwood on Twitter and quickly she set the record straight about her alleged pregnancy.
“I am not pregnant lol promise,” she confirmed.
As fans may recall, Amber Portwood recently revealed on Teen Mom OG that she would not be having any more children.
“I just found out that I got re-diagnosed with borderline personality and bipolar disorder, and I’ve been taking three different medications that now I’m going to have to take for the rest of my life. I can’t get pregnant on this medication,” she explained to a producer, according to a report by In Touch Weekly.
As Amber Portwood went on to explain, she can get pregnant but if she did, the fetus would be impacted by her medication. As for Matt Baier, he added that his fiancée would be forced to stop taking her medication right away, which wouldn’t be a good thing for her mental health.
Amber Portwood and Matt Baier announced they were getting married in October of this year during an interview with E! News months ago. At the time, Amber Portwood spoke of designing her own wedding dress while her fiancé said they would wed sometime around the anniversary of the day they first met face-to-face.
Unfortunately, earlier this month, things between Amber Portwood and Matt Baier took a turn for the worse and now, their plans for their future appear much less clear. While the couple both denied they had split during an interview with The Dirty weeks ago, Portwood seemed to be upset about something when she deleted all of her recently photos of Baier off her Instagram page.
On May 12, Radar Online claimed Amber Portwood had demanded Matt Baier take a lie detector test on camera and ultimately called off their engagement.
“[Amber Portwood] says he didn’t pass,” a source close to Portwood told the outlet. “It was filmed by MTV, so it will all play out on Teen Mom.”
“She is saying it’s over,” the source continued, “but they could get back together. They’ve gone through lots of ups and downs.”
In response to the allegations, a source close to Baier insisted he passed the lie detector test “with flying colors.”
“He didn’t fail the lie detector test, he passed,” the insider said. “He took it voluntarily. Amid all of the cheating rumors, which got disproven, Amber told him to take the test. He did it on film, so no one could say it wasn’t true. They asked, ‘Have you ever cheated with another woman,’ ‘Have you had inappropriate conversations with another woman,’ and he passed.”
Amber Portwood also sparked rumors of a possible split when she appeared on the podcast series of Dr. Drew Pinsky’s wife, Susan, weeks ago.
“We were engaged for a couple of years, we had a venue set up for October 13th and everything, lets just say some things have happened just in the last couple of days,” she said at the time.
