‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’s’ Peter Thomas In Talks To Get His Own Spinoff

The Real Housewives of Atlanta may be in the offseason, but that doesn’t mean that you have to say goodbye to all of the familiar faces. Peter Thomas, the ex-husband to Cynthia Bailey, has been rumored to be in talks to get his own spin-off with Bravo. And now, we finally have some details about it.

According to Rolling Out, Peter’s show hasn’t been officially greenlit yet, but he has some things in the works.

This report is a stark contrast to Peter’s recent claims that he wasn’t going to get his own spin-off. On May 10, the reality star posted a screenshot of an article from The Jasmine Brand and said the following.

“They don’t give people like me spinoff show, I’m too black and too ugly,” he wrote on Instagram,

Now, Peter has changed his tune. Something has obviously changed behind the scenes.

Rolling Out reports that Peter Thomas’ show, should it come to fruition, will revolve around Peter Thomas’ restaurant in North Carolina and will feature his staff of female bartenders. Fans of RHOA will be sad to know that Peter’s ex-wife, Cynthia Bailey, probably won’t be making any appearances on the show, however.

“I don’t think so,” said Thomas when asked about the possibility.

“But we’re cool, we’re real cool,” he added.

Peter Thomas also revealed that, though he might get his own reality show, he still wants to appear on the next season of Real Housewives of Atlanta.

“They’re getting ready to do their 10th season and I was with the CEO of the production company yesterday and I think they’re bringing back NeNe Leakes and they’re bringing back Kim [Zolciak]. Sheree is back,” Thomas said.

“But I think the dynamic that – it’s gonna miss something if I’m probably not there. So I was talking to Steven yesterday like, ‘Yo, you’re gonna have to write that check.’ And he was laughing and he didn’t say no.”

If Peter Thomas’ spin-off show does get greenlit, you’ll still have to wait a few months to see it on your screens.

If the show does make it on air, there’s sure to be no shortage of drama, with or without the presence of the other housewives. Peter Thomas is easily the most outspoken “husband” of the show, and he’s never one to back down from his opinion, even when it’s to his own detriment.

Peter Thomas recently made headlines when he got involved in a brawl with Matt Jordan, RHOA’s Kenya Moore’s ex-boyfriend, during a radio interview. Matt became enraged after Peter made comments about Matt’s failed relationship with Kenya Moore, and eventually attacked him.

Speaking about his side of the altercation, Matt had this to say to BET.

“It was a few things that were said about Kenya…my relationship with Kenya,” he said.

“Again, I don’t check all of this stuff. I don’t know if just the fight aired or did they show the entire interview because it was like two or three times when he basically… what’d he say…Oh, he said, ‘Kenya played me. She used you.’ Just anything with, you know what I mean, my ex, that was a huge trigger for me. He was basically speaking as if Kenya had no real interest in me outside of just using me as her boyfriend on that platform.”

That set Matt Jordan off, which led the two men to fight right in the radio studio.

Who knows what drama will unfold once Peter Thomas gets his own show. Only time will tell.

What do you think about Peter Thomas’ spin-off show? Will you be tuning in? Or, do you think that the spin-offs should be reserved for the ladies of the show? You can sound off in the comment section, below.
