‘Power’ Season 4: 50 Cent And Cast In BTS Pics Ahead Of Summer Release

Power Season 4 is scheduled to premiere on June 25, and Starz has shared the latest behind the scenes photos of the new season. Rapper-turned-actor 50 Cent is an executive producer on the hit series and portrays Kanan, who is one of Ghost’s main adversaries and former partner.

The series follows the third season’s cliffhanger in which James “Ghost” St. Patrick, played by Omari Hardwick, a drug dealer whose double life as a legitimate club owner finally catches up with him. Season 4 of Power will feature 10 episodes and continue with Ghost behind bars after being arrested in his nightclub by his ex-girlfriend, Assistant U.S. Attorney Angela Valdes, for the murder of FBI Agent Greg Knox — a crime he did not commit.

Valdes, who is played by Lela Loren, describes her relationship with Ghost as the “biggest mistake of her life” in the explosive trailer for the fourth season. Tommy Egan continues to expand his drug empire, while his friend faces murder charges. Tommy is seen in the trailer selling drug in Ghost’s club and is putting his legitimate business in jeopardy.

The behind the scenes pics released by Starz shows the once powerful James St. Patrick’s hands cuffed.

Another behind the scenes image features Tommy, who is now running the drug empire.

In the third season, Tommy teamed up with Ghost to murder their supplier, Milan, and their friendship was tested. Tommy was given an opportunity to move up in the drug world under Milan; however he choose to stick with Ghost, but lost faith in his old partner.

Rapper 50 Cent is featured in the third behind the scenes pic, and he had Ghost’s son, Tariq St. Patrick, hostage in the third season. Tasha is going to fight to keep her family together as she sticks by Ghost, who is facing murder charges. James St. Patrick’s attorney, Joe Proctor, warns Tasha about Ghost’s imprisonment in an exclusive clip of Season 4.

Deadline summarizes the upcoming season of Power with the following passage.

“Ghost can’t outrun his past choices and mounting enemies this season, which threaten his freedom and his family’s safety at every turn. His fight for redemption brings him face-to-face with the Feds, the media, new allies, and old foes. But the biggest obstacle for Ghost remains himself and his internal struggle between the man he wants to be and the one he really is.”

Fast and Furious actor Sung Kang will join the cast in Season 4 and portray an attorney prosecuting Ghost. The late Charlie Murphy, who is featured in the trailer, will play a prison guard, and Larenz Tate joins the star-studded cast as a councilman in a recurring role.

While Tasha is seen sticking by Ghost in the trailer for Season 4, it seems she is not giving her husband another chance, as Naturi Naughton revealed in an interview with Hollywood Life that her character will have a new love interest in the upcoming season.

When asked whether Tasha and James end up together, Naughton replied with the following statement.

“They’re married, but at the same time, they’re dysfunctional as hell. I don’t know. Maybe she’s starting to wise up. I think this season you’ll see Tasha has a love interest. Over time, you’ll see that she’s like I’m tired of your crap [to Ghost]. At some point, a woman’s got say, ‘I’ve had enough.'”

It has not been revealed, who has been cast to play Tasha’s love interest, and it may be one of Ghost’s associates. You can leave your guesses in the comment section below.
