Jessa Duggar Celebrates Husband’s Birthday With Super Sweet Tribute

Jessa Duggar may only be in her early 20s, but she and her husband, Ben Seewald, are already married and the parents of two beautiful boys. This weekend, Ben celebrated his 22nd birthday, and Jessa was there to write a heartfelt message to him on social media.

The Duggar sibling penned an epic blog post for her hubby, dishing on when she met him and how she was interested in him immediately. However, there was one big hurdle: Jessa Duggar figured out she was two and a half years old than her crush and decided he probably wasn’t interested in an “older gal” like her. But it turns out that her age was just a number to Ben, and then pair ended up together, just like Jessa Duggar had wanted all along.

Jessa Duggar also revealed that she was turned on by Ben’s love of scripture, which she felt was genuine and not for show, unlike other men she had met.

She even revealed that Ben helps her step out of her comfort zone, especially when it comes to meeting new people.

“When I think about what you mean to me, it’s hard to put into words. You’re one of a kind. You’re a gem. You’ve influenced my life in ways you probably don’t even know, and have helped me to be a more well-rounded person. You love me just the way I am, and you’re not out to change my personality at all. But at the same time, you encourage me to be all that I can be and to push myself to do hard things. For instance, when interacting with new people, I love it that your outgoing personality can keep the conversations going and I can just sit back and chill. But every once in a while, you encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone by saying ‘Hey babe, maybe you can talk to that girl over there. She looks lonely. You’ll do great! It’ll be good for ya!'”

Jessa Duggar also stated in her heartfelt blog post that she felt like she “married up” and is so proud of her husband’s commitment to his relationship with Christ. She wrote that sometimes he only gets 4-5 hours of sleep a night just so he can wake up early and pray before he goes to work.

The 24-year-old Duggar sibling also stated that Ben is incredibly thoughtful and compassionate, and helps her through her worst days.

“You’ve seen me at my best, and you’ve seen me at my worst. You hold me when I cry. You pray for me when I cannot pray for myself. You leave notes of encouragement for me to find when you know I’ve had a tough day. You’re tender and compassionate. Nine times out of ten, you’re the first one to apologize in an argument, and this always turns things around,” Jessa Duggar wrote.

The young couple celebrated Ben’s birthday on Friday, May 19. It is rumored that Jessa Duggar’s sister, Joy-Anna, will be getting married today, May 20, but nothing has thus far been seen on social media. If she is, however, it is likely that Jessa Duggar will be right there alongside her younger sister celebrating the biggest day in a Duggar girl’s life.

Jessa Duggar and her young husband have recently come under fire for their adorable Easter photos. Instead of celebrating the joy of the season, several fans criticized the couple for allowing their very young children to go without shoes, saying it was dangerous for them and that they should always have something on their feet. But like any other Duggar, Jessa has taken it in stride and hasn’t responded to the haters.
