Miranda Lambert Reportedly Dumped By Anderson East, Will She Reconnect With Blake Shelton?
Sad news for Miranda Lambert. Two years after her marriage with Blake Shelton fell apart, the country singer has reportedly cut ties with Anderson East. Is she going to get back with Shelton?
According to OK Magazine, East was the one who pulled the plug on the relationship. An inside source claims that Lambert was ready to take their romance to the next level but East responded by telling her he needs a break. Lambert was naturally left heartbroken, but it sounds like she is hopeful things will work out.
“She really felt they were meant to be together. And they still may be — Anderson is only cooling things off,” the insider shared. “But that doesn’t take away the sting for Miranda.”
Unfortunately for Lambert, she thought East was ready to marry and start a future with her. He obviously wasn’t willing to make a long-term commitment, but that doesn’t mean their romance is over for good. In fact, Lambert has high hopes that they’ll eventually get back together and that the break won’t last too long.
“She really loves Anderson and thought they were doing so well…She believed she and Anderson connected on so many levels,” the source stated. “He knew it was going to hurt her but he also knows they’re both just not ready for this.”
The Hollywood Gossip reports that Lambert hopes they will get back together in the near future. While Lambert waits for East to get on the same page, she is distracting herself with work. Whether or not this helps Miranda Lambert deal with the breakup is yet to be seen.
“He’s not counting out them getting back together or even marrying someday. He just couldn’t see them marrying now,” the insider noted. “Miranda still feels like she’s been dumped by someone she loves so much.”
Lambert was married to Shelton before they divorced in the summer of 2015. Lambert started dating East a few months after the split while Shelton moved on to date his Voice co-star Gwen Stefani. Shelton’s romance with Stefani is stronger than ever, and it doesn’t seem likely that he’ll try to rekindle things with his ex-wife.
Given how Lambert still wants to be with East, there’s a good chance she’ll avoid re-connecting with the country crooner, especially as this could damage her chances of winning East back.
While fans wait to see what happens with East, CMT reports that Lambert is leading a dog walk to help raise money for a local Nashville shelter. The country star is spearheading the MuttNation walk, which is scheduled to kick off on June 8. Lambert opened up about her animal advocacy and revealed that she wants to help animals find the homes they deserve.
“So many shelter pets need a home, so we are going to march to raise awareness. Country music has the best fans in the world and together we can help so many animals find amazing homes,” she shared.
The charity walk will take place at the same time as the CMA Music Festival. The march begins at Nissan Stadium and wraps up close to the Music City Center in downtown Nashville. For those fans who cannot participate in the walk, Lambert has set up the MuttNation Shelter Day sweepstakes. The grand prize is spending a day with Lambert remodeling an animal shelter. Proceeds from the walk will go toward the MuttNation Foundation Adoption Drive, which is based in Nashville.
Neither Lambert nor East have commented on their reported breakup. Shelton also hasn’t said anything about his ex-wife’s dating life and that probably won’t change in the coming months.
