Gwen Stefani, Miranda Lambert In Alleged Feud, Compete To See Who Can Walk Down Wedding Aisle First?

Gwen Stefani and Miranda Lambert don’t seem to have much in common — with one big exception in the form of Blake Shelton. Gwen is a pop rocker whose fame soared even more when she took over one of the coach chairs on The Voice, and she’s also busy with raising the three little sons that she shares with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. In contrast, Miranda is devoted to her country music career and proudly flaunts her kittens rather than kids on social media. But ever since Stefani began her romance with Lambert’s ex-husband Blake Shelton, rumors of a competitive feud between Miranda and Gwen have soared. And part of that alleged feud just might be a race to see who can tie the knot in a wedding first.

Earlier this year, Life & Style described Stefani as “livid” with Lambert, telling readers that it appears “Miranda Lambert and Gwen Stefani’s feud over Blake Shelton is far from over.” Stefani allegedly became more furious when Miranda supposedly threw shade at Blake when she was accepting the ACM’s Album of the Year.

A source quoted by the publication claimed that Stefani believes Lambert is spending too much time dwelling on Shelton rather than her new romance with Anderson East.

“Gwen thinks Miranda really needs to focus on her current relationship and not her ex,” said the insider.

“Gwen gets that Miranda’s split with Blake was heartbreaking but come on, it’s time to move on.”

The source also revealed that Stefani had her own battle to recover after her divorce from Gavin Rossdale. But Gwen reportedly succeeded, and feels Lambert also needs to move forward.

“Gwen struggled to get over Gavin [Rossdale] but she did it and now it’s all about her relationship with Blake. None of them need to be living in the past!” summed up the insider.

Although Miranda’s romance with Anderson East has received considerably less publicity than Stefani’s and Shelton’s relationship, Lambert recently took Anderson East with her to an awards show. But having Anderson as her escort didn’t stop Miranda from shocking the audience by mentioning the “heartbreak” that she suffered from her breakup with Blake.

“I just want to say thank you for letting me release my heartbreak and sharing it with me.”

Lambert’s and Shelton’s divorce announcement occurred in July 2015, almost at the same time as Gwen’s and Gavin’s split. In November that same year, Stefani and Shelton began their romance. It took Miranda a few months more to begin a new relationship with East.

But Lambert allegedly has “been at odds” with Gwen ever since Stefani’s and Shelton’s romance went public, according to the publication’s sources.

“Miranda would welcome a showdown with Gwen, to get everything in the open once and for all,” said one of the insiders.

Another one of the sources claimed that Lambert has had enough of Stefani and Shelton gushing over each other in interviews.

“Miranda is tired of Gwen incessantly gushing about her romance [and] of Blake carrying on…about how Gwen ‘saved my life.’ “

Could getting married before Shelton and Stefani help Lambert to heal? Rumors that Gwen and Miranda are competing to tie the knot first have swirled for months, with Hollywood Life quoting a source last year about the alleged competition.

The insider claimed that Lambert and East are planning to tie the knot and reportedly have a goal of beating Shelton and Stefani to the altar.

“They’ve discussed taking their relationship to the next level and for both of them, that means one thing: marriage,” said the insider about Lambert and East. “Miranda will never forgive Gwen for having such a public romance with Blake so soon after their divorce.”

Consequently, the source claimed that Lambert “is determined” to get married before Stefani.

“Beating Gwen to the altar is a way for [Miranda] to have the last laugh.”

However, although E News reported earlier this year that Lambert and East are “still going strong” in their romance, there hasn’t been any signs of an engagement ring yet. But an insider told the publication that the two do want to wed.

Miranda, 33, and Anderson, 28, have been together for more than a year. The source revealed that the couple has “discussed getting married and starting a family,” but they are reportedly aiming for privacy.

“Miranda and Anderson are doing good. They try to keep their relationship private and out of the public’s way,” said the insider.

Following Lambert’s split from Shelton, she has reportedly discovered what she really wants and needs in her life, and East “fulfills it all,” said the source.

“They are definitely gonna get married,” confirmed the insider. “They have discussed marriage and kids that they both want in the near future. She has learned many things about what she wants and needs after her breakup.”

That leaves the question of whether Lambert and East or Gwen and Blake will win the reported race to the altar. An insider told Hollywood Life that Stefani is eager for Shelton to propose so that she can plan her “dream wedding.”

Scheduled to take a break from The Voice next season, Stefani reportedly wants her country crooner boyfriend to pop the big proposal question so she can use her time away from the singing competition to figure out her wedding.

“Gwen wants to work on music and be a mom during her break from The Voice,” said the insider. “But one of her main goals is to prepare a wedding.”

Stefani reportedly has her freed-up time away from The Voice all figured out, and she allegedly really wants to use it to “focus on the wedding,” according to the source. There’s just one obstacle in her way, and that’s Shelton’s reported failure to propose, added the insider.

“[Gwen] just needs Blake to pull the trigger and ask for her hand in marriage so she can start prepping her dream wedding.”

As for the exact timeline, the source said that Stefani “wants to be engaged soon” so that she can start her wedding day preparations.
