The Real Reason Kailyn Lowry And Chris Lopez Split Before Baby Lo’s Birth

Most Teen Mom 2 fans are already well aware that Kailyn Lowry and her ex, Chris Lopez, split several months before she is due to give birth to their child. While Kail recently revealed her baby daddy’s identity after keeping it secret for the first six months of her pregnancy, the ins and outs of their relationship have been kept under wraps.

Kailyn Lowry’s past relationships with her other two baby daddies have played out on-camera for the Teen Mom 2 audience, but this is one that has been kept totally private. At first, Kail was hesitant to reveal who the father of her third baby was due to the fact that she wasn’t sure how involved he would be in her child’s life. The soon-to-be mom of three met Chris as a student at Delaware State University, and the two briefly dated but had likely come to an agreement not to reveal his identity.

However, Kail got sick of tabloid speculation (and who could blame her?) after taking an Ancestry DNA test and having an online source state that she had done so because she didn’t know who the father of her child was. The young mom had already dropped a few hints, calling the unborn child “Baby Lo” (which lead most fans to suspect Chris Lopez as the front runner for baby daddy status), stating that the father of her child was black and Christ tweeting about his miracle child. But after becoming frustrated with the drama, Kail outed him to the world, and it is unclear whether or not he expected it. Her ex-husband, Javi Marroquin, however, stated that he had always known he was the father of her third child.

Kailyn Lowry shocked fans of the show when she announced her pregnancy just as she was divorcing ex Javi Marroquin, which led many fans to believe she had been unfaithful to him with Chris. While this has not really been confirmed or denied, it has been speculated that Chris has appeared on Teen Mom 2 after Javi and Kail decided to divorce with his face blurred out. It is also suspected that the “dude” Javi complained about being around their son, Lincoln, 3, was also Chris.

But what happened to stop this short-lived relationship before it had barely begun? A source revealed to Radar Onlinewhat actually happened between the two.

“Kail became a relationship of convenience for him. He never actually loved her. It was a relationship, but he just decided he wanted something different and things didn’t work out so they went their separate ways.”

Another source said that Kailyn Lowry was pretty upset when the pair parted ways.

“Kail was very upset when they broke up. But she has never said anything bad about him. She wishes him the best and hopes he’s genuinely happy with his life.”

According to the same source, Kail wanted to remain with Chris for a long time, perhaps even settling down and having a family with him, but he is the one who called off the relationship.

Sources are also revealing that the pregnancy wasn’t a total shock to Chris, who was actually trying to get Kailyn Lowry pregnant. But while the pair wanted to have a baby, they didn’t seem to be anywhere close to the same page when it came to where the relationship was heading.

Kailyn Lowry’s ex, Javi Marroquin, however, is apparently legally considered the father in the state of Delaware, as the baby will be born less than 300 days after their divorce is finalized unless he makes a statement denying paternity. Javi has evidently already lawyered up to prevent this from happening.
