Reese Witherspoon is spilling the beans on Season 2 of Big Little Lies and joking about naked photos.
Reese revealed if she and her co-stars could be filming a second season of the popular HBO miniseries during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where Witherspoon revealed if a second season of the show will be hitting screens anytime soon.
Although Reese didn't explicitly confirm that a Season 2 is already in the works, she hinted that it could definitely happen by teasing that she and her Big Little Lies co-stars are all hoping that they'll get to film another season.
"We hope so! Nicole [Kidman] and I produced it as well, so we've been talking to the writer, Lianne Moriarty, who wrote the book," Reese said when DeGeneres asked if fans can expect another season.
Witherspoon revealed that the group has been discussing "new ideas and what these characters could do" if the drama continues.
"It seems like people just love the characters, so hopefully we could go on!" Reese added.
Witherspoon's big confession comes just days after Reese first hinted that Big Little Lies could get a second season on Instagram. She teased that she, Nicole and Laura Dern were all spending some time together and could potentially have been discussing storylines for a new season during their meetup.
"Spending #SundayFunday with these ladies," Witherspoon captioned the Instagram photo with her HBO co-stars on May 8, as Reese teased that she and her fellow actresses were "working on some new lies."
Reese Witherspoon also joked that things could get even steamier if a second season of Big Little Lies does come to fruition. She joked to Ellen that her mom, Betty, loves that the original season had so many sex scenes.
Telling the daytime talk show host that her mom told her she was a fan of the show because it had "lots of sex." Witherspoon then revealed that her mom joked about her dating life and told her daughter that she may even have a naked photo or two floating around.
"She said, 'Don't worry, I keep all my nude selfies in the Cloud,'" Reese Witherspoon jokingly told Ellen of her mom's naked photos according to Entertainment Tonight, referring to the recent slew of nude image hacks that have hit females in Hollywood over the past few months dubbed The Fappening 2.0.
Witherspoon's latest Big Little Lies talk come amid much speculation over whether the series – which is based on the book of the same name by Liane Moriarty - would continue on despite Moriarty not having written any further stories about the women.
The author previously hinted at a possible second season of Big Little Lies earlier this year, admitting that she has been thinking of potentially writing another story for the Witherspoon drama to continue during an interview with the Sydney Herald Times but also revealed that didn't have any plans to write a second book.
"I have started to think about ways this could continue," the Big Little Lies writer said when asked if Reese, Nicole and their co-stars could reprise their characters, teasing the possibility of another season to the Australian news source before Witherspoon teased more episodes on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
"I wouldn't write a new book," she continued, but didn't reveal at the time if she'd spoken to Reese about more episodes, "but perhaps a new story, and then we'll see what happens."
Nicole also teased that she'd be willing to do another season of the drama with Reese earlier this month, admitting to Variety that she would be open to bringing the show back and producing further episodes with Witherspoon by her side.
"If the storyline could be powerful and compelling," Kidman said when asked if she'd return to Big Little Lies. "If there is a way to form these women's lives further, that's really interesting. It would be so lovely if we could do it."
