Joy-Anna Duggar And Austin Forsyth’s Wedding Happening This Weekend — Was The Registry A Decoy?

Is it possible that Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth’s wedding registry was just a decoy to keep nosy fans away from their actual wedding day? The registry says that the next big Duggar wedding is set to take place in October, but rumor has it that Joy-Anna and Austin are getting married much sooner — like this weekend.

It was reported by the Facebook page Duggar Family News: Life is not all pickles and hairspray that the Duggars may have been trying to pull a fast one on fans with the wedding registry dated for October. Instead, the Duggar page has reported something else.

“I heard from a Duggar insider that Joy’s wedding will be next week. I’m guessing that means Saturday, May 20th. It seems like the wedding will be held close to the Duggar compound since the source said guests will be at the compound before and after the wedding. That’s all I know right now except I hope Joy gets up the nerve to run before then and live the life God gave her not the one arranged for her by her fruitcake dad.”

The post was later edited to add, “It’s been confirmed. The wedding is this Saturday.”

The unofficial Duggar Facebook page has been credited for their tendency to report on Duggar spoilers with accuracy. While they may wish for Joy-Anna to break free from the strict Duggar family rules and expectations, it looks like Joy-Anna is nearly as excited about her upcoming wedding as her soon-to-be husband Austin Forsyth is.

If Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth get married this weekend, it certainly will make more sense. Especially since the couple celebrated their joint bachelor/bachelorette party already. The couple celebrated their upcoming wedding by having a camping themed party. Considering that their wedding registry said that Joy-Anna and Austin would be getting married in October, they certainly did have their joint bachelor/bachelorette party early. It seems like the timing supports claims that the couple will be getting married this weekend.

On the last season of Counting On, Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth announced their courtship and let fans know that they intended to get married. While a May wedding seems rather soon, the timing would be perfect for the filming of the TLC show. Like other Duggar weddings, fans get excited to see the sisters marry off and watch the celebration. Don’t be surprised if Joy-Anna and Austin’s wedding is no different and ends up featured in upcoming Counting On footage or even in some sort of wedding special.

When talking to People about the camping themed joint bachelor party, Austin was asked about his plans to get married to Joy-Anna Duggar. “I think I’m looking forward to the fact that it’ll be day number one of spending the rest of my life with this beautiful young lady,” Forsyth said before adding, “and that I have finally married the woman of my dreams.”

Joy-Anna has also expressed her excitement over marrying Austin Forsyth. Back in February, she shared her feelings about marrying someone whose family is close to hers. “It’s really special that I got to grow up with him and my family knows him really well,” Joy-Anna said.

Joy-Anna will be the fifth kid from 19 Kids and Counting to get married. Of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s children, so far, Josh, Jessa, Jinger, and Jill have all courted and married an approved spouse. Joy-Anna has already expressed her excitement to say her wedding vows and work on building her own family as soon as possible.

Counting On returns June 12 at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
