Simone Biles’ Shock ‘DWTS’ Exit, Olympian In Tears

Simone Biles was eliminated from Dancing With the Stars in a tearful and shocking Monday episode.

When Simone Biles and her pro partner Sasha Farber stepped out on the stage to perform their second dance on DWTS on Monday night after their perfect 40/40 Judges’ Challenge dance, nobody had any doubts that Biles and Farber would get into the finale and have a good chance of winning the Mirrorball trophy.

But it all came crashing down when Simone Biles’s shock elimination was announced on Dancing With the Stars.

DWTS fans exploded with confusion and anger on social media, expressing their shock at Simone Biles and Sasha Farber’s shock elimination from the DWTS semi-finals, just one week away from the Mirrorball trophy.

While America’s favorite dad David Ross seemed like the perfect candidate to be sent home, votes from Dancing With the Stars TV viewers prevented Simone Biles and Sasha Farber from competing in the DWTS finale next week.

Despite being the only dancing duo out of four to receive the perfect 40/40 score in both the Judges’ Challenge and Unlearned Dance dances, Simone Biles and Sasha Farber were sent home, leaving even judges and hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews in genuine shock.

It was an emotional night for Olympic champ Simone Biles, not only because she got eliminated from DWTS just shy of the finale, but also because Monday’s episode showed that the Olympic gold medalist is still dealing with the aftermath of her little fight with judge Carrie Ann Inaba.

Simone Biles burst into tears during Dancing With the Stars rehearsals ahead of the semi-finals. The Olympic champ felt frustrated over the comments she received from DWTS judges during week eight.

Last week, Simone Biles and Carrie Ann traded blows, with the former telling the Olympic gold medalist that she sees a lack of “authenticity” when Biles performs, according to People magazine.

And then host Bergeron pointed out that Simone Biles refused to smile after the judges revealed their scores, to which the pro-Olympian fired back, “Smiling doesn’t win you gold medals.”

DWTS week nine’s episode showed that the seemingly heartless Simone Biles during week eight was deeply affected by the judges’ comments last week. Telling Sasha Farber that the judges’ comments “hurt,” Biles said she had been doing her best, but it was apparently still not good enough.

“It made me feel like I didn’t work hard enough, but I knew I had.”

Simone Biles was tearfully complaining to her pro dance partner Sasha Farber that she had been doing her “hardest” but the judges “keep saying no.”

Later in the episode, however, Dancing With the Stars judges gave Simone Biles and Sasha Farber the perfect 40/40 score in two of their dances – but it was apparently still not enough to advance to the finale.

For their Judges’ Challenge dance, Simone Biles and Sasha Farber danced a Jive to “Faith” by Stevie Wonder featuring Ariana Grande. Bruno Tonioli praised the Olympian after the dance, describing her attitude as “reckless” and “sexy,” and saying that she “didn’t miss a step.”

For their second dance – Unlearned Dance – Simone Biles and Sasha Farber chose “Skyscraper” by Demi Lovato and performed a Rumba, which left Carrie Ann tearful, saying that the duo “danced with your soul tonight.”

But DWTS TV viewers were apparently more impressed by David Ross and Lindsay Arnold, as their score outweighed the score of Simone Biles and Sasha Farber – just when everyone thought Ross and Arnold would be eliminated and Biles with Farber would be raising the Mirrorball trophy above their heads.

Next Monday, the three remaining dancing pairs on Dancing With the Stars 2017 will compete for the Mirrorball trophy: David Ross and Lindsay Arnold, Normani Kordei and Valentin Chmerkovskiy, and Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater.
