Bethenny Frankel On Carole Radziwill’s Political Discussions: Could Politics Ruin This Friendship?

Bethenny Frankel has revealed that she’s very close with Carole Radziwill and the two have become close friends over the past couple of years. When Bethenny returned to The Real Housewives of New York, she didn’t know much about the current women on the show. But she could relate to Carole and the two quickly bonded. In fact, some of the other women were threatened by their friendship, and they were quickly called the mean girls. Dorinda Medley even brought up the fact that Carole was hard to get to know because she was always hanging around Bethenny. But when it comes to politics, it’s clear that Carole is more passionate than Bethenny, and Frankel doesn’t want to talk too much about it.

According to a new Bravo report, Bethenny Frankel is now revealing how she really feels about Radziwill’s political passion. And while Bethenny probably voted in the election to choose the next president, she isn’t using social media to influence voters like Radziwill has done. And it sounds like Bethenny is just as confused as some of her co-stars as to how one can be more political than someone else.

“I don’t know how you can say someone is the most political,” Bethenny Frankel told The Daily Dish about her friend’s crazy political dedication, revealing that she herself doesn’t understand Carole’s dedication at times.

“Everybody gets one vote, so you can scream at the rooftops louder than anyone else — it doesn’t mean you’re getting more than one vote. You get your vote and the person next to you gets their vote also. So we have different styles. Was Carole more passionate and obsessed with the election than I was? Yeah, I mean I have to focus on my daughter and my job and a bunch of other things too. I don’t have all day to be worried about the election. It does affect our country and it does affect my daughter, so I definitely was aware of it and I’m aware that it was a very crazy, crazy election,” Frankel added to Bravo.

But it sounds like Bethenny Frankel can respect Radziwill’s dedication to politics. She was clearly supportive of Hillary Clinton and during the election night, Carole got more and more upset about the results. As it turns out, Bethenny Frankel was there to help Carole through the loss, as Donald Trump ended up winning over Clinton.

Bethenny Frankel has no plans of turning her back on Carole even though she was clearly struggling on election night. And these days, months after the election, Radziwill continues to tweet about politics and her dislike for Trump. She’s one of those people who really wanted Clinton to win and she keeps using Twitter to spread the word about the various lies Trump has shared over the past couple of months. As she revealed on The Real Housewives of New York, she had anxiety over the fact that Trump won.

“I have a very high standard for friendship, so I think the reason Carole’s the only person I’ve become friendly with on the show is because she’s really the only person that meets that standard of actually being able to be a good trustworthy friend,” Bethenny Frankel explains about her friendship with Radziwill, adding, “I’m learning a lot about the women. Dorinda is pretty cool in that regard too, but when you get burned you don’t really want to go back in.”

What do you think of their friendship? Do you think politics could divide them, simply because Bethenny isn’t as passionate about politics as Radziwill?
