Megyn Kelly, Fox News Anchor, Scared by ‘Terrifying’ Animated Alert [Video]

Megyn Kelly, anchor for Fox News, got a bit of a scare when a new alert graphic was played while she was hosting “America Live.”

Kelly’s “terrifying” encounter with a news alert graphic occurred during a segment about the “fiscal cliff,” just before she was about to speak with Fox News editor Chris Stirewalt. “That was a new alert,” Kelly said after regaining her composure. “It scared me a little bit!”

Not one to pass up on an opportunity for a segueway, Kelly couldn’t help but add: “Maybe we should be scared, because the clock is ticking down right now to the fiscal cliff.”

After a moment of silence, a brief giggle fit, and a seguway, Kelly finally got around to introducing Stirewalt, but not before seeking confirmation that the new alert animation was, in fact, scary.

“So, what did you think of the alert animation? Did it scare you?” Kelly asked, which prompted the people behind the scenes played through the graphic one more time. “Look at that! It’s terrifying!”

“I was really frightened,” Stirewalt admitted. “I thought something really, really bad was happening instead of just the standard badness.”

This wasn’t the first time this year that Kelly lost her composure on-air. The Fox News anchor also burst into laughter when reporting on a story that a journalist who worked part time as a stripper was fired from her job at the Houston Chronicle.

Before that, Kelly also broke out in laughter when the production team got ahead of themselves and switched to another guest before they were ready.
