Angelina Jolie is reportedly set on getting revenge on her estranged husband, Brad Pitt.
According to a new report, the 41-year-old actress may be using powerful spells and potions against Pitt as they continue to battle over custody of their six children.
"[Angelina Jolie] has been interested in witchcraft and voodoo for years," a source told Radar Online on April 26.
As the outlet pointed out, Angelina Jolie wore a vial of Billy Bob Thornton's blood around her neck when they were married and years later, as she and Brad Pitt filmed 2005's Mr. & Mrs. Smith, she was rumored to have used black magic to lure Pitt away from his former wife, Jennifer Aniston, who filed for divorce shortly after filming wrapped.
"Now Brad's terrified she'll start using powerful spells and potions against him," said the source. "He thinks she's out to make his life a misery and destroy him."
Angelina Jolie reportedly began turning Brad Pitt's life into a "living hell" last September when she blindsided him by filing for divorce and requesting full physical custody of their children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. She then made allegations of abuse which prompted investigations by the FBI and the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services.
Although Brad Pitt was ultimately cleared of all charges against him, he was placed on a very strict visitation schedule and has spent far less time with his kids in recent months than he has in the past.
"Brad lives for those children and his heart's been broken into pieces," the Radar Online source revealed.
Although Brad Pitt has not said a thing about his estranged wife's potential efforts to take him down, the insider claimed he was convinced that Jolie "cursed his latest movie Allied, which ended up a box office flop... Angie was intensely jealous of his co-star Marion Cotillard."
As fans may recall, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt faced rumors of a split last year as Pitt filmed Allied in London with Cotillard. However, after filming concluded, Cotillard insisted they were never romantically involved.
Angelina Jolie "has dabbled in the occult, and in Maleficent she played a vengeful witch," the source continued. "It was a role she was born to play."
In the months since Angelina Jolie's divorce filing, Pitt has received tons of support from Hollywood's movers and shakers, which has reportedly gotten under Jolie's skin. Just months ago, while attempting to announce a nominee at the Golden Globe Awards, Pitt received a round of applause from his fellow actors and ultimately had to pause before moving forward with his presentation.
When Angelina Jolie filed for divorce last year, a TMZ report claimed she did so due to a number of issues, including a conflict over the kids and Pitt's alleged substance abuse and anger. As the outlet pointed out, Jolie does not want Pitt to share joint physical custody. Instead, the actress is willing to agree to joint legal custody.
"[Angelina Jolie]'s decision to file has to do with the way Brad was parenting the children... she was extremely upset with his methods," the outlet explained. "Angelina became 'fed up' with Brad's consumption of weed and possibly alcohol, and mixed with what she believes is 'an anger problem'... felt it became dangerous for the children."
In a statement, Angelina Jolie's attorney, Robert Offer, said his client made her decision "for the health of the family."
Angelina Jolie has been laying low in Malibu in the months since her split from Pitt. Meanwhile, the actor is believed to be living at their former marital home in Los Feliz.
