Katie Holmes: Family Allegedly Overjoyed To Have ‘Old Katie’ Back

Katie Holmes was allegedly smiling all day while back in Ohio with her family for Thanksgiving. Suri spent the holiday with Tom Cruise in London. An alleged family source offered details of the visit to Radar Online.

If the source claims are accurate, the 33-year-old actress and her grandmother, Jackie, spent a lot of time together during the brief visit. Holmes’ grandmother allegedly suffers from both dementia and diabetes.

Holmes took a break from rehearsing for Dead Accounts to hop a plane to the Buckeye State for Thanksgiving. The Radar Online source had this to say about Katie’s reception from her extended family:

“It was a fleeting visit, but Katie knew the only place she wanted be during the holiday season was with her family in Toledo. Katie was desperate to see her grandmother Jackie, who she is very close to, and the rest of the family. And surrounding herself with her siblings, nephews and nieces seemed to make her very happy because she was smiling all day. Some family members made the point that it was like having the old Katie back. When she was married to Tom her visits were always short and less low key.”

Katie’s older siblings allegedly noticed the change in her demeanor and good-naturedly teased her throughout the visits – as siblings tend to do. Holmes visit to Ohio reportedly did not include security guards this time, which supposedly allowed her to spend more time with her loved ones.

Suri spent a day at the Harry Potter theme park while visiting Tom Cruise in London, according to Channel 24, Suri will reportedly be spending Christmas with Katie and her family.
