Demi Lovato’s New Tattoo Is Flighty, Faithful

Demi Lovato has added yet another tattoo to her growing collection, and has taken to Twitter to show off her new ink.

The new tattoo, a flock of birds that swirls up Lovato’s right arm with the word “faith” in cursive text, was revealed by the 20-year-old X Factor judge on Monday.

While revealing her new ink to her 10.5 million followers, Lovato also took the chance to thank the artist, tattoo specialist Kat von D. The young star tweeted a pic of the pair (below) posing in von D’s tattoo parlor.

Demi Lovato is no stranger to body art. The talent show judge now has 13 tattoos across her entire body, and she’s not entirely thankful for all of them. In a September 5 interview on LIVE! With Kelly and Michael, Lovato confessed she had received 12 tattoos before the age of 20, and that she was beginning to regret the decision.

One specific tattoo, a drawing of her friend’s lips on the inside of her left forearm, seemed to irk the star; she described it as “a spur of the moment, stupid decision.” In the same interview, Lovato added that she had considered tattoo removal:

“I’ve thought about it before because, you know, when I get older I don’t know if I want to have ‘rock and roll’ on my middle finger. But I’m young and I can rock it now. When I get older, I can worry about it later.”

There’s no explanation behind Demi Lovato’s latest tat, although a religious meaning seems likely – the TV personality has talked about her belief in a higher power before now.
