‘Halo 4’ DLC Release Date Info Leaked On German Xbox 360 Dashboard

Halo 4 DLC release dates have been reportedly leaked on the German Xbox 360 Dashboard, according to the folks at Ubergizmo.

Since some of the Halo 4 fans I know personally are hungry for even more maps to play with, the news of the leaked release dates is sure to make quite a few people happy. Although only one chunk of DLC will be made available to fans before the end of the 2012, more will become available early next year.

If this leaked information is to be believed, then Halo 4 fans will get their first slice of DLC on December 10. The “Crimson Map Pack” will reportedly give players even more backdrops for their epic online battles.

By the time the new year rolls around, players will probably be jonesing for another fix of downloadable content. On February 25, Halo 4 addicts can satiate their desire for even more interplanetary battles by downloading the “Majestic Map Pack.”

According to the Official Xbox Magazine, the final piece of DLC will be available on April 1. Unless this is some sort of sick joke designed specifically to mess with Halo fans, then the “Castle Map Pack” will be available right before the start of summer.

Since its release, Halo 4 has received mostly favorable reviews from the world’s top video game critics. Ryan MCCaffrey, reviewer for IGN, gave the same a solid 9.8 out of a possible 10.

” ‘Halo 4’ is not only a success, but a bar-raising triumph for the entire first-person shooter genre. And just how new developer 343 Industries has done it will surprise, delight, and excite you,” he wrote.

According to Reuters, the game earned an impressive $220 million after just 24 hours on retail shelves. However, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 would prove a bit more popular; the game earned over $500 million in just one day. Both games are considered by many to be among the biggest media releases of the year.
