Kim Kardashian’s greed for fame leads to the release of her infamous leaked sex tape in 2007 which has propelled her to meteoric fame. She has managed to put her sex tape incident behind her throughout the years, but a “new” raunchy footage has reportedly surfaced online with a woman appearing very much like Kim K. Is this another new sex tape made in an attempt by Kim to maintain her posh status and fame? Or is this just one of the clips in her previous sex tape? Nevertheless, details of the leaked sex tape which shows Kim Kardashian’s greed leads to the release of the explicit footage.
She used to be called as Paris Hilton’s BFF before hitting it big
In October, Kim Kardashian will be commemorating her ten years on television. Instead of starting as an actress for a cameo role or a budding singer who got popular for his/her own composition, Kim K was born into the showbiz industry through the help of a sex tape.
Her leaked sex tape was released by porn company Vivid Entertainment in 2007 and basically, it skyrocketed Kim K into the bosom of popularity. To help remind the reality star of her infamous act, PageSix.com spoke to several persons who were behind the release of the sex tape.
It all started when Kim Kardashian was in an intimate relationship with Willie “Ray J” Norwood. He is the younger brother of singer Brandy Norwood whom Kimmy previously worked for as his stylist. Kim was 22 and Ray was 21 when the couple decided to celebrate Kim’s 23rd birthday at a luxurious resort in Mexico. They had a camcorder with them and documented themselves at the party as they were having one whale of a time. Things got X-rated when the couple decided to go to bed and filmed their sex scene on camera. It should have ended right there. In private.
However, in 2006, Kardashian was beginning to make a name for herself by being known as Paris Hilton’s BFF. She was an inseparable sidekick to the socialite yet, it wasn’t enough to keep her in the showbiz industry. In 2007, things spiced up for the TV diva as a leaked sex tape that she and Ray J made was released by Vivid Company.
Kevin Dickson, the former editor at In Touch Weekly, recalled how he immediately contacted Kim who was in Australia with Paris Hilton at that time when the sex tape rumor spread. He heard Kim crying in the background confirming that she’s already heard the rumor while talking to Paris.
“And Kim was crying in the background. She’d seen the story by then, and Kim’s saying, ‘It’s not me, it’s not me.’ So Kim denied it and denied it and she was denying and crying at the same time,” he said.
Kim had even attempted to curb its release and filed a lawsuit against Vivid Entertainment in LA. Yet Kim Kardashian’s greed for fame found her pulling back the lawsuit and agreeing to a settlement with the company. Reports claimed that Kardashian was paid $5 million for selling the footage. Dickson told Pagesix.com that the star had actually “calmed down when [Vivid] talked money with her.” Kim Kardashian’s greed for fame is quite palpable!

The leaked sex tape entitled “Kim Kardashian, Superstar” was released on March 21, 2007, and has made over $50 million since its release. The instant fame and notoriety Kim received from the leaked sex video earned her a spot in the celebrity world. Just five months after the footage was made public, E! Network signed Kim up for her own reality show together with her family and thus, Keeping Up With The Kardashians began.
Meanwhile, a recent footage featuring a woman in lingerie has leaked online. Kim Kardashian has yet to comment on the new video if that woman is her. She might be setting the record straight once and for all.
