Is Snoop Dogg About To Invest In Celtic Football Club?

Snoop Dogg has stated that he wants to purchase shares in Celtic Football Club after watching the Scottish side’s impressive victory over Barcelona earlier this month.

The American rapper, who has now officially changed his name to Snoop Lion, has announced that he wants a place on the Glasgow team’s board and will spend a lot of money to do so.

“I’ve got a lot of interest in soccer. It’s not a new thing for hip hop stars to invest in sports teams but it is a new thing for hip hop stars to invest in soccer teams,” stated Snoop. “I see how passionate Celtic fans are about their team and I could see myself making an investment if any of the board wanted to sell.”

Snoop doesn’t have any interest in completely owning the side but would like to invest enough so that he can “be heard” and would even aim to “bring a bit of Snoop to things”.

Discussing his plans for the current Scottish champions, he stated that he plans to bring David Beckham to Celtic Park adding, ” I would try and sign him up for a season but he is pretty happy over here. LA is home for him and his family now, but I would have to at least make that offer to my boy.”

Celtic’s sensational victory over Barcelona on November 7 was one of the biggest shocks in modern world football. Snoop is currently attempting to develop into a reggae artist with his latest track “La, La, La” his first record in the genre.
