The Walking Dead Spoilers: Chad Coleman Allegedly Joining The Cast As ‘Tyreese’

The Walking Deadspoiler alerts for this week include an exciting turn for fans of the comic book series. Show creator Robert Kirkman stated during an interview with Digital Spy that an ultra-popular comic character will be making an appearance in Episode 8 of The Walking Dead.

The Governor and Michonne, also popular TWD comic book characters, have already been introduced in Season 3 of the hit AMC series. Chad Coleman, an actor who appeared on The Wire, might be signing onto The Walking Dead cast to portray Tyreese, the Examiner notes.

Tyeese was Rick Grimes’ closest pal in the comic book series. Shane, who only lived for a little while in the graphic novels, played Rick’s good buddy on the AMC series until near the end of Season 2. In the comic books, Rick leaned on Tyreese to help keep the group alive, a task currently fulfilled by Daryl Dixon.

Kirkman had this to say about his cagey statement during the interview with Digital Spy:

“A big deal fan favorite from the comic book is introduced into the show in this episode, so be on the lookout for that.”

The deaths of Lori and T-Dog are allegedly just the beginning of the brutal endings for some of The Walking Dead characters. Fans will likely be extremely upset if the supposed introduction of Tyreese means that Daryl Dixon is being replaced as Rick’s right hand ma. Dealing with the living is rumored to be more deadly than fending off walkers during Season 3 of the hit AMC series. A new host of challenges for the group are allegedly in store after The Governor learns of their lush digs inside the prison.
