Samsung Wins 27 CES Innovation Awards, TVs And Smartphones Take Top Prizes


Samsung Electronics was the big winner at this years CES Innovation Awards where the company took home 27 wins. If you have been keeping count, Samsung has won 117 CES Innovation Awards over the last four years.

Among some of the company’s prizes were awards for its Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone, its Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, and its TecTiles NFC sticker system.

Also front and center at the event was the company’s amazing crisp 85-inch UHD TV with its 4K resolution. Samsung claims that its UHD TV is the “world’s largest LED TV.” The Samsung television department received wins for its 2013 Smart LED TV 7500 and 8000 series ranges and Samsung’s OLED TV commercialized UHD.

Receiving yet another award for Samsung was its Smart TV Camera, which supports gesture controls and face recognition after being attached to a Samsung Smart TV that doesn’t have a built-in camera of its own.

If you can wait until January 2013, the Samsung 85-inch UHD TV will be shown off at CES. Samsung even plans to revamp its brand by make its traditional blue logo “more vibrant.”
