Ashley Judd may or may not be running for the US Senate.

The Louisville Courier-Journal reported today that a number of Democrats are urging the actress to run against GOP Majority leader Mitch McConnell in 2014. Judd said that she was flattered by the consideration but said that she isn't ready to think about 2014 just yet.

Judd said:

"I cherish Kentucky, heart and soul, and while I'm very honored by the consideration, we have just finished an election, so let's focus on coming together to keep moving America's families, and especially our kids, forward."

But McConnell, like Judd, isn't ready to worry about the 2014 election just yet. McConnell responded to the Ashley Judd rumors saying that he was a big fan of the star's movies.

McConnell's campaign manager, Jesse Benton, said:

"Senator McConnell and his wife are big fans of Ashley Judd's movies and appreciate her energy, particularly when it comes to getting young people engaged in the political process."

Judd said:

“I do receive a lot of encouragement to run … and my sincere desire is to be useful. I want to serve … and I may be doing that to the best of my capacity … in the space I’m already operating in. Or, it may be time to look at possibly running for office.”

Do you think Ashley Judd should run against Mitch McConnell in 2014?
