Woman Abuses Little Sister Over Bag Of Cheetos

Houston, TX – A woman allegedly knocked her younger sister unconscious over a bag of Cheetos, according to the Daily Mail.

The girl was reportedly whipped with an electrical cord before being knocked out by her 23-year-old sibling. The fight began when Deby Mejia returned home to find her kid sister eating a bag of Cheetos she had purchased from a neighbor’s wife.

The child told police that her sister became “real mad” after discovering the bag of snacks. It was around this time that the unnamed girl was whipped with a cord and slammed against a wall.

Teachers alerted social services after discovering bumps and bruises on her body. The girl said she had been dizzy for several days following the assault.

KVUE-TV reports that Mejia told police she wishes her 10-year-old sister had never been born. She was reportedly forced to take care of the girl after their mother was deported in 2006.

Neighbors explained that this isn’t the first time the little girl had been abused by her sibling.

“When she got mad at her, she would punish her not very good,” an anonymous witness explained.

“She put her outside kneeling on rice with a bucket of water on her head,” another neighbor said.

Child Protective Services spokesperson Estella Olguin explained that abuse in the household has occurred on more than one occasion.

“Had we received a report that a child was caring for a child, that a minor was caring for another minor, that would be something we would definitely get involved and work with ICE,” she explained. Olguin added that Mejia told CPS she had been caring for her little sister for only two years.

The 10-year-old has been placed in foster care. Deby Mejia is behind bars on $60,000 bail as of this writing.
