‘Grand Theft Auto V’ To Feature Three Protagonists

Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V will reportedly feature three separate protagonists that players can control, according to the Examiner.

News of the playable characters in the next installment of the popular open world video game franchise have been leaked ahead of Game Informer’s big reveal later today (November 8). Although details are still scant as of this writing, it would seem the plot will be centered around a gangster from the East Coast.

According to Computer and Video Games, the character’s name is Albert De Silva, a man who finds himself being pulled back into the criminal underworld. De Silva will be one of three characters players can expect to play throughout the course of GTA V.

Game Informer editor-in-chief Andy McNamara will reveal screenshots and a metric ton of information for Rockstar’s latest tale of seedy criminals and the people they call friends and enemies. The digital version of the issue, available on iOS, Android, and PC, will be available to the masses later this afternoon.

G4TV got their hands on a new image of one character riding on jet ski while wielding an automatic weapon. If you were hoping the game would contain water-based combat, then this news is surely quite exciting.

Although an official release date has yet to be announced by the folks at Rockstar, a European retailer’s poster for Grand Theft Auto V suggests the title will be released in spring of 2013. Again, nothing has been confirmed on an official level as of this writing.

In addition to all of the juicy information Game Informer has in store for fans of the franchise today, the next trailer for the game is currently scheduled to hit the internet on November 14. Rockstar’s trickle of information may be slow but it’s certainly tantalizing.
