Former ‘SNL’ Star Victoria Jackson On Obama’s Win: ‘I Can’t Stop Crying, America Died’

Former Saturday Night Live cast member Victoria Jackson proclaimed that “America died” after President Obama was re-elected.

In a series of tweets, Jackson wrote, “I can’t stop crying. America died.” She also posted it on Facebook, to which someone responded, “Wait a minute…i thought according to you people America died when Obama was elected the FIRST time? If America died AGAIN tonight, that means Barack Obama killed a dangerous zombie. You should be THANKING him, he might have saved your life.”

She also wrote, “The Democrat party who voted God out of their platform and adopted Romans 1 as their platform won. In the Good vs. Evil Battle, today… evil won.”

One commenter responded, “You know how I know that Obama winning a second term was gods [sic] will? Because it happend. [sic]”

Another wrote, “It is easier for a camel to squeeze through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to get into the kingdom of God.” Mark 10:25 Jesus was a liberal!! get over it!!”

Back on Twitter, Jackson ended with, “Thanks a lot Christians, for not showing up. You disgust me.”

One user wrote back, “Have you considered that God thinks Obama is the correct choice?”

Another wrote, “I know a lot of responsible Christians who voted for Obama today. Save the judgements for god.”

Jackson didn’t respond to any of the comments on Facebook or Twitter.

Jackson had remained under the radar for several years after leaving SNL 20 years ago. She has recently reemerged as an anti-gay activist and Tea Party supporter.

In an episode of her web series, Jackson took a Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock approach to pregnancy through rape and said, “If I was raped, I would have the baby and think of it as God making a blessing out of something bad.”
