Week Three NFL Power Rankings
Through two weeks of the season we have seen many comers and a few goers as well, I suspect that over the next three weeks that the power rankings will fluctuate greatly and then settle down as we get a better understanding of what each team is. With that here is the Week Three Power Rankings:
1. New York Giants- Eli is clutch, and this is a good team
2. Indianapolis Colts- Should we ever bet against Peyton
3. New Orleans Saints- What a great offense
4. Atlanta Falcons- Their first road test against a depleted Patriots
5. Baltimore Ravens- good offense, great defense
6. Pittsburgh Steelers- bad road loss to the Bears, look to bounce back
7. New England Patriots- their roster is depleted, and they are trending downward
8. Philadelphia Eagles- It doesn’t seem to matter who is their QB
9. Minnesota Vikings- Bret Favre is managing games, not winning them
10. San Diego Chargers- off to an 1-1 start and falling rapidly
11. New York Jets- Sanchez doesn’t have blow your mind numbers, but the team is winning
12. Green Bay Packers- tough home loss the Bengals, but should bounce back
13. Chicago Bears- A great win versus the Super Bowl Champs
14. San Francisco 49ers- 2-0 and not missing Michael Crabtree
15. Dallas Cowboys- Romo seems to be a concern
16. Tennessee Titans- the most surprising 0-2 team out there
17. Arizona Cardinals- Super Bowl hangover may be lifting
18. Houston Texans- Next two games are at home, maybe they will be ok
19. Seattle Seahawks- The lack offensive playmakers
20. Buffalo Bills- It is time for Trent Edwards to step up
21. Carolina Panthers- 0-2 and it might be panic time
22. Miami Dolphins- dominate time of possession and still lose
23. Cincinnati Bengals- A nice win at the Packers, but they are still the Bengals
24. Washington Redskins- they are in a must win situation, and at the Lions
25. Oakland Raiders- Seymour makes them better, but Russell is a terrible QB
26. Denver Broncos- One miracle win, and won versus the Browns, all NFL wins are not equal
27. Cleveland Browns- I wonder of the Jets regret firing Eric Mangini? Probably not
28. Jacksonville Jaguars- Struggling QB may force a change
29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- They have a weak defense, and take far too many penalties
30. Kansas City Chiefs- Can Matt Cassel make them better, probably not
31. St. Louis Rams- They are wasting Stephen Jackson’s best years
32. Detroit Lions- until they win, here they sit
