Albert Einstein Alive And Well, Drives A Cab In New York City [Photo]

Reddit is a great place to find curious stuff. Case in point, one Redditor posted the above picture to the social forum, showing a New York City cabbie who could arguably be the very reincarnation of Nobel Prize-winning physicist Albert Einstein.

Redditor shark153 posted the above image with the caption “Taking a cab to penn station and the cab driver gives me a weird look.” Weird look, indeed! We don’t know anything about the Albert Einstein lookalike cabbie other than what you see above, but the likeness is undeniable.

Albert Einstein was a German-born theoretical physicist best known for his general theory of relativity, which revolutionized the field of physics, and earned him an honorary distinction as the father of modern physics.

Einstein won the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics “for his services to theoretical physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect.” Albert Einstein’s lookalike cabbie, so far as we know, just drives a cab and looks like Albert Einstein.

One possible explanation for the likeness was offered by Redditor Deradius:

“Theorizing that one could time travel within his own lifetime, Doctor Albert Einstein led an elite group of scientists into the desert to develop a top secret project, known as ‘Quantum Leap’. Pressured to prove his theories or lose funding, Doctor Einstein prematurely stepped into the Project Accelerator and vanished. He awoke to find himself in the future, suffering from partial amnesia and facing a mirror image that was not his own. Trapped in the future, Doctor Einstein finds himself leaping from life to life, putting things right that once went wrong and hoping each time that his next leap will be the leap home.

Cue intro music, clips of Einstein horsing around with Dean Stockwell, clips of Einstein dancing in drag and wearing a Carmen Miranda fruit hat, and Einstein roundhouse kicking a biker.”

Works for me.

What do you think of the Albert Einstein lookalike cabbie? Unreal, no?
