Sharon Osbourne Reveals ‘No-Brainer’ Double Mastectomy

Sharon Osborne recently revealed that she underwent a double mastectomy over the summer after learning she had a rare breast cancer gene.

Osbourne, who battled colon cancer a decade ago, decided to have both her breasts removed instead of worry she might develop the disease in the future.

The 60-year-old former X Factor judge said the decision was a “no-brainer.”

“I didn’t want to live the rest of my life with that shadow hanging over me,” Osbourne said.

Osbourne also had her breast implants removed last year after learning they had leaked into her stomach. She said she is officially done with plastic surgery.

“You can’t buy your youth back, no matter how much money you’ve got. I won’t go under the knife again,” she said.

Osbourne has decided not to reflect on her diagnosis and surgery and is instead focusing on her family. Her son Jack was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, which caused the matriarch to question if she somehow caused his disease.

“I keep thinking, ‘What did I do wrong? What did I eat or drink when I was pregnant?’ I feel like it’s somehow my fault,” she said.

Jack Osbourne and his wife, Lisa Stelly, recently had a daughter, which also motivated Sharon Osbourne’s decision to undergo the surgery.

“I want to be around for a long time and be a grandmother to Pearl. I didn’t even think of my breasts in a nostalgic way, I just wanted to be able to live my life without that fear all the time,” she said.
