Selena Gomez: I’d Have 2 Kids If I Stayed In Texas

If Selena Gomez remained in her native Texas instead moving on and becoming a star in music and television, she believes that, even at the young age of 20, she would already be a mom twice over.

Wonderwall reported that the actress, and current love interest of Justin Bieber, told Glamour that she gets “terrified” when she thinks of what her life would be like if she continued growing up in the Lone Star state. Glamour was interviewing Gomez after awarding her the designation as their 2012 Woman of the Year.

“I definitely didn’t appreciate it when I was little, Gomez said of growing up with a single mother. “I was frustrated that my parents weren’t together, and never saw the light at the end of the tunnel where my mom was working hard to provide a better life for me. I’m terrified of what I would have become if I’d stayed there. I’m sure I’d have two children by now.”

The former Wizards of Waverly Place star did add that it wasn’t all bad and that she loved the people back in her native Texas and now appreciates the lessons her mother taught her.

“But I love the people, and I’m glad I grew up there,” Gomez said. “It’s because of (my mom) that I can do things on my own. I like being professional. I like showing up on time. I like being good to people, and I know that I’m reflecting her at the end of the day.”

US Weekly reports that Selena Gomez, 20, is a UNICEF ambassador. She’s also connected to some of the biggest names in fame in boyfriend Justin Bieber and friend, country superstar Taylor Swift.
