Cee Lo Green Investigated For Sexual Assault

Cee Lo Green is currently being investigated for an alleged sexual assault, according to TMZ. The singer, however, insists he is innocent of the crime.

Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, has denied any and all wrongdoings stated in the report filed with the Los Angeles Police Department. However, authorities have remained silent regarding who made the allegations or where the incident supposedly took place.

Digital Spy reports that police have questioned some of The Voice judge’s employees. Investigators also paid a visit to a downtown Los Angeles restaurant to question the eatery’s manager. However, specific details regarding the case have been scant.

Cee Lo recently spoke with TMZ about the sexual assault rumors. In addition to stating that he hadn’t visited the aforementioned Los Angeles restaurant in over three months, the singer vehemently denied doing anything wrong.

“Nothing ever happened there or anywhere else,” Green explained to TMZ.

“I have never seen Cee Lo act in a physical way toward anybody,” a source added.

Ace Showbiz explains that the sexual assault allegations arrived roughly 24 hours after the singer released his holiday-themed album Cee Lo’s Magic Moment. The collection of funky Christmas tunes features collaborations with fellow Voice judge Christina Aguilera, The Muppets, and Rod Stewart.

“About a third of CeeLo Green’s 14-track Christmas album is pretty solid,” HitFix review Katie Hasty explained. “This includes consideration that CeeLo’s overall approach to singing tends toward the heavy-handed, an attribute absolutely compatible with Christmas records.”

Since Green is anxious to get started on a brand new album and a new book, the singer will reportedly take a break from his duties on The Voice next year to focus on other projects.
