Taylor Swift: Gigi Hadid Isn’t Angry Over Singer’s Collaboration With Zayn Malik [Debunked]

Star published a fake news story in its latest print edition that claims Gigi Hadid is angry at Taylor Swift over her collaboration with Zayn Malik. Gossip Cop summarizes their story.

“‘Gigi’s Inzayn Jealousy,’ reads a punny but not very funny headline in the new issue of Star. It says in the article, ‘Gigi Hadid might have publicly tweeted her support for Zayn Malik’s Fifty Shades Darker duet with Taylor Swift, but privately, the Victoria’s Secret stunner is praying that will be the first and last time those two collaborate in the recording studio.'”

Star uses a supposed source to complain that Gigi trusts Taylor but didn’t appreciate the idea of her working so close with Zayn. However, Gossip Cop also assures us that this article is completely fabricated.

“First, it’s worth noting that the magazine is trying to make it seem like Hadid is worried Swift will steal her man when, back in June, the publication said Swift had forced Hadid to split from Malik so they could be single women together. Pretty contradictory, no? It also makes no sense that Hadid would suddenly have an issue when all three have hung out together on various occasions this year,” says columnist Shari Weiss in debunking Star’s story.

This wasn’t the first fake story this week that Gossip Cop had to police. Radar Online posted a make-believe story about Selena Gomez ditching Taylor Swift after rehab.

“There is some serious ‘Bad Blood’ right now between former best friends Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift! RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that Gomez, 24 — who recently checked out of a Tennessee rehab facility after a month-long stint for anxiety and depression — refused to attend Swift’s 27th birthday bash at the advice of her counselors.”

The article used an alleged “source” to claim that since Selena exited rehab, she has been cutting off all the bad influences in her life, including the “toxic” Taylor Swift. Some of the commenters after the article certainly didn’t support Gomez.

“Selena Gomez is pathetic! Isn’t funny that she blames Taylor who doesn’t do drugs and I don’t think she does much drinking. Selena is a pathetic little twerp who wants to blame her stupidity on everyone else except herself,” said one poster.

“Blaming Taylor? Oh is this why Selena is the one in rehab and Taylor is thriving?” asked another.

However, Gossip Cop put the breaks on Radar Online’s claims.

“Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift do not have ‘bad blood’ between them, nor did the former ‘ditch’ her friend after rehab, despite a made-up report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this fake news story that claims the women are in a feud. We’re told it’s completely false,” wrote columnist Michael Lewittes, adding that Radar Online was the same site that posted a fake news story about Taylor Swift wanting to date Bradley Cooper.

As fans will recall, 2016 has been both a good year and bad one for Swift, who faced a serious backlash when Kanye West allegedly revealed that Swift approved the lyrics of his single “Famous,” in which he raps, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that b**ch famous (God damn), I made that b***h famous.”

However, Kanye’s future rants and eventual hospitalization vindicated Swift in the eyes of many, who realized that West was lashing out at everybody just for the sake of lashing out. Soon, Swift would end the year with her Zayn Malik assisted megahit “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” which debuted at No. 6 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Swift should continue her comeback when she releases her new album in 2017.
