Eileen Davidson Struggling After Mother’s Death: ‘It Just Keeps Getting Windier And Bumpier’

Eileen Davidson has experienced plenty of loss while filming The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It seems like Davidson has lost someone close to her every time she starts a brand new season of the show. First, it was her father-in-law and then she lost a second family member. And on this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Davidson has lost her mother. Eileen’s mother passed away before she started filming this new season and she opened up about the loss of her mother to her co-stars when she was ready. And it sounds like Davidson is taking her time to settle her mother’s estate.

According to a new Bravo report, Eileen Davidson started dealing with her emotions on last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. As Davidson had previously revealed, she decided not to talk about her mother’s passing on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion special last year. She didn’t want her co-stars to hold back during the reunion because she was sad and devastated. However, on this week’s episode, Davidson decided to go back to her mother’s house.

“Just when I thought I was getting an emotional reprieve … Going up to my mother’s house for the last time felt like a final goodbye to her. Even though I hold my mother in my heart, letting go of her things and her home felt like another way I was losing her. My family and I have suffered an unbelievable amount of loss. My husband has been an incredible support system, but he’s grieving too. We’re all just trying to navigate this bumpy, winding road, hoping for it to smooth out eventually. But it has started to feel like it just keeps getting windier and bumpier,” Eileen Davidson has revealed in her Bravo blog for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, sharing that it doesn’t necessarily get easier for her to move on from the loss of her mother.

Several of her co-stars reached out to Eileen on Twitter as the episode aired, sharing that it was completely devastating to watch because she was reliving some memories with her mother. Eileen decided to go back to her mother’s house on last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills because she had to sort through some items that were left in the home, because the house had sold. Eileen Davidson’s siblings and other family members had already visited the property and sorted through items that they wanted, and Eileen was the last one to visit the home.

“I finally decided I needed someone like my amazing therapist Kelly to help me through this. Obviously, the journey is far from over, but it was a very helpful step. Through all of this, I think about Jesse. He’s lost so many people on both sides of his family at such a young age. Going through what we all have, I’m reminded that our children are so much of what make life important and worth living. And having my kids, Jesse, Duke, and Vinny, is such an incredible gift,” Eileen Davidson has revealed in her Bravo blog, sharing that she is happy that she has a support system in place.

It is interesting that Eileen is actually struggling to move on from the loss of her mother. As she points out in her blog, the road to recovery is getting windier and bumpier rather than easier and smoother.

What do you think of Eileen Davidson’s comments about losing her mother? Are you surprised that she’s still struggling with the loss of her mother, even though she’s not alone?
