The Green Bay Packers have been on a roll over the last four weeks and look like a serious championship contender once again. On the other hand, the Minnesota Vikings have been falling in the standings and are on the outside looking in when it comes to the NFC playoff race. Both teams will look to prove that they are a serious contender once again this week when they face off at Lambeau Field on Sunday.

It is hard to believe that the 2016 NFL season is entering Week 16. The season has gone by quickly, but these final two weeks of the year mean a lot to both the Packers and Vikings.

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are heading into this week’s game with an 8-6 record and are just behind the Detroit Lions for the NFC North division title. They have won four straight games and are one of the most dangerous teams in the NFL right now. Winning this week against Minnesota could mean a division title for the Packers in week 17 if they defeat the Lions in their final game of the regular season.

Minnesota has a 7-7 record at this point in the season, and the team is not viewed as a serious contender. Mike Zimmer knows that this week’s game is a must-win for his team. Beating Green Bay at Lambeau is not an easy task, and it will take a nearly perfect game for the Vikings to win.

Green Bay has seen Aaron Rodgers step up in a big way throughout their winning streak. Earlier this season, the media was asking whether or not Rodgers’ career was beginning a downward trend. Rodgers has proven those doubters wrong and will do so again this week with 325 yards and four touchdowns.

Adrian Peterson Bounces Back with 100 Yards, Touchdown

Minnesota saw Adrian Peterson’s return against Indianapolis end in a blowout loss. This week’s game will be much better from the star running back. Peterson will rack up 100 yards and a touchdown against a Packers’ defense that has been solid against the run throughout the season.

Green Bay Will Force Three Interceptions

Perhaps the biggest need for the Packers over the last couple seasons for the Packers has been defense. They have shown flashes of playmaking potential this season and will do so again this week. Sam Bradford has shown flashes of brilliance this season, but this week he will throw three interceptions.

Stefon Diggs Will Put Up 100 Yards, Two Touchdowns

Even though the Packers’ defense will force three interceptions, Stefon Diggs will put up a big game. He will put up 100 yards and two touchdowns against a defense that has given up big plays all year long. Minnesota will need to make up the turnovers, and Diggs will do his part.

Green Bay Will Win their Fifth in a Row to Improve Playoff Status

At the end of the day, the Packers are the better team and are on fire right now. They are going to improve to 9-6 with the win and will be just one win away from the NFC North title and a spot in the playoffs. Green Bay and Minnesota are in for a tough battle, but the Packers will come out on top.

Expect to see this game live up to the rivalry game that it is. Both teams are going to bring everything they have to the field, with playoff implications on the line.
