Margot Robbie’s Secret Wedding: Here’s How She Spent The Special Weekend

Margot Robbie had a secret wedding over the weekend. She got married to her longtime beau, Tom Ackerley. The 26-year-old Australian actress chose her homeland as the location for her wedding. But, her marriage plans were kept absolutely confidential. In fact, she managed to fool the paparazzi for a long time.

Margot Robbie had her secret wedding in Byron Bay. While she kept everything confidential, she did give hints for the takers. When she arrived at the Gold Coast airport, she was wearing a T-shirt that said, “Say ‘I Do’ Down Under.” However, the hint was so subtle that most people failed to understand it. Now that her secret wedding is not a secret anymore, people have started doing the calculations.

It was a definite plan to avoid the press, and particularly, paps. Margot Robbie planned it well. First, it looked like the Hollywood actress was at home for Christmas. Everyone thought she managed to find time for a brief holiday at home. And, Margot supplied enough evidence to show that she was in a relaxed holiday mood.

The Suicide Squad actress shared a photo on Friday when she enjoyed a drink at Bam Bam Bakehouse. It is a usual hotspot at the Mermaid Beach. But, it hardly had a huge star like Margot Robbie as its customer. When the actress shared the photo on social media, she made sure the name of the bakery was seen in the background.

Margot Robbie did promote the bakery well. It eventually led to a “crazy” gathering at the bakery over the weekend. According to the bakery owner, Ursula Watts, her business is just a “small drop in the ocean” in comparison to the kind of places the Hollywood actress has been to. She appreciated Margot for promoting the bakery to her millions of fans.

“It really blows your mind. You could only see our name in the background of her picture but people make the connection really easily.”

While promoting the small bakery, Margot Robbie managed to camouflage her secret wedding. The photo she shared made people believe that she was in Australia to spend the Christmas with her mother, Sarie Kessler, and her brothers, Cameron and Lachlan. But, she surely had much bigger plans.

Paps realized that the actress had other plans over the weekend. It was speculated that Margot and her British beau were moving to Sanctuary Cove for the wedding. When they reached the spot, they were disappointed again. The secret wedding location was changed to Byron Bay.

According to reports, only 50 special guests were invited to the secret wedding. As Margot Robbie tied the knot with her filmmaker boyfriend, it was a fairytale wedding at Ewingsdale. It was a luxurious property in Coorabell. The couple stood in a large white tent and exchanged vows.

Margot has remained friends with her old pals even after she became a huge star in Hollywood. She is still close to her classmates. Aimee Myra-Smith and Julia Koenig are two of her school friends who were invited to the wedding. While she remained friends with them, she also made a few close friends in Hollywood. Cara Delevingne, who acted along with Margot Robbie in Suicide Squad, was invited to the secret wedding as well.
