Lala Kent Leaving ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Amid Nasty Rumors About Her Married Boyfriend

SUR has a new vacancy. Lala Kent just confirmed her departure from Vanderpump Rules in the midst of Season 5. Kent’s exit follows a controversial season with her co-stars that culminated with rumors of her romance with a married man.

Perez Hilton reports that Kent confirmed her exit with an official statement on Monday. Although her time on Vanderpump Rules is over, Kent was optimistic that fans will see her in a new light as her departure plays out this season.

“I’m excited for people to watch me exit because it’s just going to show a new side of my life and I think it will get to show people who I really am,” she explained. “I watch the show sometimes and I’m like that’s not me. I want people to see who I actually hang out with, my day-to-day life. And I never got to show that. I’m excited for people to watch me leave Vanderpump Rules to be quite honest.”

Too Fab reveals that it was Kent’s decision to leave and wasn’t forced out by anyone on the show. Apparently, the drama just became too much for her to handle, and she got out before things got even uglier.

“I made it halfway through the season and just decided that I want no part of the people anymore,” she admitted. “I feel like they don’t deserve to be in my world in any way shape or form. So I dismissed myself.”

Lala Kent

According to Blasting News, Kent has been a part of the reality show for two seasons. She first appeared on camera after landing a hostess job at SUR. Kent had a difficult time making friends on the show, and by the end of last season, she was feuding with just about everyone, apart from her BFF James Kennedy.

Of course, Kent’s biggest source of drama this season was her alleged married boyfriend. During an interview with Too Fab, Vanderpump Rules star Kristen Doute opened up about Kent’s affair, saying that the rumors are absolutely true.

“I absolutely, one million percent know that is fact and truth, no matter how long she wants to deny it for,” Doute told the outlet. “That’s the problem with being on reality TV, the negative and the positive it’s going to come out. I feel like whoever you are that has watched [the show] should kind of know that by now. You absolutely cannot have skeletons.”

Doute also has problems with Ariana Madix’s friendship with Lala Kent this year. Considering everything that Madix and her boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, have been through, Doute doesn’t understand why they get along.

“I cannot understand the friendship that they, especially Ariana, have with Lala,” she stated. “Especially because of everything that Tom and Ariana preach that they stand for and everything that they sort of insult in regards to other people’s actions and character. Yet, they can be friends with someone like her… it’s a lot of hypocrisy.”

That being said, Doute revealed that her relationship with Madix will undergo a lot of changes this season. The two have been through a lot of drama in the past, including a cheating scandal involving Doute and Sandoval.

Between Kent’s shocking exit and Scheana Shay’s surprising divorce announcement, this season of Vanderpump Rules might be the craziest to date. It isn’t clear which episode will be Kent’s last, but the reality star was replaced in the opening credits by Stassi Schroeder at the beginning of the season.

Fans can watch the drama with Kent unfold when new episodes of Vanderpump Rules air Monday nights on Bravo.
