Scheana Marie Deals With The Loss Of A Loved One After Shocking Mike Shay Divorce

Scheana Marie and Mike Shay recently parted ways after just over two years of marriage, and just weeks later, the Vanderpump Rules star suffered a tragic loss.

According to a recent social media post, Scheana Marie has lost her great aunt.

“I’ve gained too many guardian angels this year. Today we say goodbye to my Great Aunt Pat. We will miss her so much, but she is finally reunited with her sweetheart and 2 sisters… Such a sweet soul. Heaven is lucky!” Scheana Marie wrote in the caption of a December 16 photo taken at her wedding.

Scheana Marie has had a rough couple of months, starting with the end of her marriage to Mike Shay weeks ago. In November of this year, TMZ was first to report news of Scheana Marie’s alleged marital troubles, claiming her husband may have fallen off the wagon after months of sobriety.

According to the TMZ report, Shay emptied their joint checking account after going missing for days. However, according to Shay, no such thing ever happened. In fact, in an Instagram photo to fans, Shay revealed he was not missing — and not using drugs as rumors have claimed.

“I am not missing. I am sober,” Shay wrote to his fans and followers. “Don’t believe everything you read. I love my wife and will always love my wife. Whatever is going on between us will stay between us! I love my family and my family loves me and a lot of things have been said out is protection and anger by many people.”

Since splitting from Scheana Marie, Shay has remained focused on his career with music group DDG, also known as Dat Dope Group, and performed several shows. Days ago, however, he returned home to Los Angeles after making numerous appearances around the country.

“After 2 weeks I’m finally home!” he wrote on December 17.

Following weeks of rumors regarding the potential end of their marriage and Shay’s alleged substance abuse, Scheana Marie and Mike Shay confirmed their split with a joint statement to Us Weekly magazine on November 30.

“While we have made the difficult decision to move forward separately, our story will continue on through the love and mutual respect that we have cultivated throughout our 15-year friendship. Much of the recent speculation and reporting on our relationship has been misguided, and we have come to an amicable decision on all matters. We might have failed at our marriage, but we are committed to succeeding as friends and will continue to support each other’s personal happiness and professional success,” their statement read.

In other Scheana Marie news, her co-star, Lala Kent, recently took aim at her, claiming she would be the next cast member targeted on the show.

“I think Scheana’s gonna be the next victim to go down,” Kent said of Scheana Marie, according to a report by Perez Hilton last week. “I just see her as someone who doesn’t really think for herself and, she’s kind of, and I hate saying this cause I really do like her, she’s just conflicted. So I feel she is kind of stupid and weak.”

As fans have seen throughout Season 5 of Vanderpump Rules, Scheana Marie and Lala Kent have been at odds due to allegations of an affair between Kent and a reportedly married man. While Kent has continuously denied dating a married man, Scheana Marie and her co-stars, including Stassi Schroeder, Katie Maloney, and Jax Taylor, have claimed that they know who she is dating — and that her mystery man is married with children.
