Zayn Malik, Perrie Edwards Have Near Miss In NYC: Expect More Awkward Moments In 2017

The former romance between Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards captured many headlines over the years, and it looks like they are intertwined once again.

Perrie Edwards of the X Factor band Little Mix was recently in New York City to give a concert for MTV. Little Mix has been getting ready to start touring America with Ariana Grande, and the New York City concert was a way to start preparing their fans for their arrival.

Sadly, although they are reportedly bitter exes, it was reported that Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik almost crossed paths when they were both in New York City on December 17.

Mirror noted on December 12 that Zayn Malik was in New York City and not in Los Angeles, where he usually resides since his split with One Direction.

Instead, Zayn Malik was allegedly doing promotional work in New York, and he was also providing support to Louis Tomlinson after the death of his mother from leukemia.

During his time in New York, Zayn Malik was watched carefully by the press, and they had a lot of comments about him. For example, GQ noted that Zayn Malik was defining winter style in 2016 with his puff-less puffer jacket.

Nevertheless, during this New York City trip, Zayn Malik almost had to say hello to his ex-girlfriend, Perrie Edwards of Little Mix. Celebs Now reported that Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik were scheduled to stop by Sirius XM on the same day — but avoided interacting.

Of course, this gave fans of Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik memories to remember old times on social media. In August, 2015, Perrie Edwards announced that she was no longer engaged to Zayn Malik, and the couple actually broke up at least a month before they told their fans.

Since that time, Zayn Malik has been seen with a number of women, such as Neelam Gill, but it was Gigi Hadid that stole his heart.

As it appears, his relationship with Gigi Hadid is enduring, and Zayn Malik recently stated in his interview with Sirius XM that he began his relationship with Gigi by asking her out in a straightforward way while they were both in New York City.

Regardless, although he was discussing the movie Fifty Shades of Grey, Zayn Malik said he was a gentleman and refused to talk about intimate details of his relationship with Gigi Hadid.

While Zayn Malik’s single with Taylor Swift was from an upcoming film, Fifty Shades Darker, Zayn Malik did not say if the upcoming video for “I Don’t Want To Live Forever” would be racy.

ET Online revealed that Gigi Hadid told them that despite the fact Zayn Malik was in a long-term relationship with Perrie Edwards, neither of them had ever been out on a first date with anyone before dating each other.

What captivated Gigi Hadid about Zayn Malik on their first date was the ease of the flow of their conversation.

Actually, Zayn Malik has stolen other hearts over the years, and he has won his second award for this very virtue.

According to Gay Times, Zayn Malik was voted by fans to be the Sexiest Asian Man in the World for the second year running. Runners up included Hrithik Roshan, Fawad Khan, Ashish Sharma, and Salman Khan came in fifth place.

For fans of Zayn Malik’s music, the good news is that he will be releasing more in the near future. On the day Zayn Malik almost ran into Perrie Edwards, he stopped in to do an interview with Sirius XM.

At that time, Zayn Malik stated to Elvis Duran, “I’m in the studio at the minute working on the second record.”

Interestingly, the near run-in with Perrie Edwards at Sirius XM might not be the last time Zayn Malik is close to her geographic location over the early months of 2017.

In fact, as previously reported by the Inquisitr, Perrie Edwards and Little Mix will start touring America with Ariana Grande and her Dangerous Woman Tour on February 2, 2017, and will be blazing trails throughout the United States until mid-April.

This means if there was ever a time to expect awkward moments between Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik, early 2017 will be when they happen.
