CeeLo Green’s ‘Facebook Live’ Video: ‘Gnarly Davidson’ Was Exploding Cellphone Video: ‘I’m Okay, Alive And Well’


In the wake of CeeLo Green appearing in a viral video, which may or may not have displayed a hoax or real injury, Green posted a cryptic message on his Twitter and Facebook accounts. As reported by the Inquisitr, CeeLo’s disturbing video appearing to show a cellphone exploding near his face brought accusations of a hoax being portrayed and passed around in the viral video. To address all the melee, the Twitter account of noted that he’d go live at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday, December 17.

Green’s initial “Live at 9PM EST” statement on Twitter and Facebook brought questions of where he would go live. To answer those questions, CeeLo answered that he’d be “Live at 9PM EST on Facebook” to his 1.8 million Twitter followers — and posted the same information to his 1.8 million Facebook fans. However, well past 9 p.m. ET on Saturday, CeeLo still had not gone live on Facebook.

The Gnarly Davidson project that CeeLo spoke of in the above Facebook Live video, according to Metro.us, is his “play on Harley Davidson.”

In the meantime, according to Google Trends, plenty of people searched for information about whether or not CeeLo was really injured from an exploding phone. Search terms like “CeeLo Green phone” and “CeeLo Green injury” show up as breakout search terms. Folks are also coupling CeeLo’s name with Samsung, since rumors about his cellphone allegedly being an exploding Samsung have bandied about the web.

The Facebook Live video is expected to address whether or not CeeLo’s phone exploded in the viral video phone explosion or not. Other viral search terms, such as those asking if his is dead or not have been coupled with the search terms asking Google whether or not Green’s phone exploded. Some Googlers are searching for the video where CeeLo’s “phone blows up,” while others are searching for TMZ in order to verify or debunk the report.

Meanwhile, CeeLo continued to get plenty of comments as 9:17 p.m. ET rolled by without him going live on Facebook to talk about whether or not his cell phone really exploded or not. Fans of CeeLo seemingly wanted to see his face in person in the Facebook Live video, and hear his voice to prove that he is not dead or injured. People wondered if the CeeLo exploding phone video was some kind of weird viral marketing stunt or if he was really hurt by an exploding phone. Plenty of prayers were offered for CeeLo on his Twitter and Facebook pages in the wake of the video purporting to show his phone exploding.

On his Instagram account, there was no new news about exactly what happened to CeeLo, therefore fans were left wondering whether green was really injured from a freak phone injury caused by a Samsung cell phone, or if the whole explosion was some kind of CGI sorcery that was faked to make folks think Green’s phone blew up. Plenty of questions arose as folks uploaded slow-motion versions of the viral CeeLo video, with claims that he wasn’t speaking on the cellphone and only began talking when he faced the camera.

As folks waited for CeeLo’s Facebook Live video, Green received some of the following comments on social media.

Danny McMorrow: “You haven’t posted anything bro?”

Update: The Facebook Live video shows CeeLo saying he’s alive and well, and that he was upset because the exploding cellphone video was really his Gnarly Davidson project.
