‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Steve Burton Tapes Last Scenes On ‘Y&R’ — Sharon’s Father Comes To GC To Support Her?

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease tense moments are ahead for Sharon (Sharon Case) and Dylan (Steve Burton). In just a few weeks, Steve Burton will exit the role of Dylan McAvoy, a role he’s played since 2013. Without Dylan there to ground Sharon, how will she deal with the constant turmoil with the Newman family?

According to Soap Opera News, the Young and the Restless cast the role of Sharon’s estranged father and plans to showcase the pair getting to know each other. It isn’t known at this time if he returns to hurt her in any way. All we know is that he will appear around February sweeps.

According to CBS Soaps In Depth, CBS threw Steve Burton a going away party last week as he just wrapped up his run as Dylan McAvoy on the Young and the Restless. The pictures were sweet, and also sad, when you think that in a few short weeks “Shylan” will be over. Dylan’s departure is sure to turn up the tension, especially between Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and his wife, Sharon.

Several months ago, Soap Central reported that Steve Burton would be leaving Young and the Restless so he can focus on other projects and stay close to his growing family. The news of his departure hit the Young and the Restless fans hard. Most fans like Dylan so they were sad to see him go. At the same time, they wished him well and hoped to see the role recast.

CBS has not stated whether they plan to recast the role or leave it open for another time. At first, the Young and the Restless spoilers seemed to suggest that Dylan could die in a horrific way. With a new writer taking over, it looks like Dylan will leave Genoa City after a fall out with his mother, Nikki, and half-brother, Nick (Joshua Morrow).

Dylan has had a rough few months after finding out that Sully was really his nephew, Christian. The McAvoy’s were forced to hand over Christian to Nick, and he barred them from their lives. As a desperate last attempt to see Christian, they tried to sue Nick for visitation rights. The judge stated that visitation was left up to Nick as the boy’s father as they had no legal right to the child.

The Young and the Restless viewers are concerned that with Dylan off the show, the Newmans will run over Sharon and continue to gaslight her any chance they get. One thing is for sure; the fans do not want Sharon to reconcile with Nick as many feel he is emotionally abusive to her. With Dylan gone and no hope of “Shick,” what’s next for Sharon?

Soap Opera News reported that Young and the Restless finally cast the role of Aaron Collins, Sharon McAvoy’s estranged father. According to the report, All My Children alum Walt Willey scored the role and will appear on the soap opera for a handful of episodes in early February. CBS has not revealed anything about Aaron Collins’ storyline. It would be a very good time to show Doris Collins (Karen Hensel ), Sharon’s mother. The last we heard, Doris was away on a cruise and couldn’t attend Nick and Sharon’s wedding in 2013.

The Young and the Restless has exciting stuff coming up so stay tuned in the months ahead. Stever Burton will say goodbye next month. A few weeks later, Aaron Collins arrives in Genoa City, hoping to catch up with his daughter, Sharon.

At this time, CBS has not revealed if they plan to recast the roles of Dylan McAvoy and Adam Newman.

The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
