Don’t Miss Christmas With PBS: Watch Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Boston Pops, And Jordan Smith Holiday Special Live Online [Video]


Christmas is nearly here and there are some wonderful programs on PBS you won’t want to miss. On Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, PBS will play three holiday specials that will repeat on Christmas day. These are Christmas with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Featuring Laura Osnes and Martin Jarvis, Happy Holidays with the Boston Pops, and Jordan Smith ‘Tis the Season. The shows air on Dec 19, beginning at 9 p.m. ET and will replay on Christmas day, beginning at 3 p.m. ET. Check your local listings for times and stations. Those who want to watch the broadcasts streaming live online may do so with one of the many PBS apps. Christmas with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Featuring Laura Osnes and Martin Jarvis airs on Dec. 19 beginning at 8 p.m. ET. and at 5 p.m. on Christmas day. You may hear Laura Osnes sing “Oh, Come, All Ye Faithful” with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in the video above. Joining Laura Osnes in the special will be British actor Martin Jarvis. There will also be four soloists from the Metropolitan Opera who will lend their outstanding vocals during the show. The four soloists are Erin Morley, Tamara Mumford, Ben Bliss, and Tyler Simpson.

Founded in 1847, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is one of the world’s most renowned choirs. Though associated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS), the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s appeal extends far below those who hold similar religious affiliations. Following Christmas with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Featuring Laura Osnes and Martin Jarvis, is Happy Holidays with the Boston Pops. Happy Holidays with the Boston Pops airs on Dec. 19, at 9 p.m. ET, and on Christmas day at 3 p.m. ET. Check local listings for times and stations. Happy Holidays with the Boston Pops features the Boston Pops and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus. Special guests include Sara Evans and Robert Morse. The final show that will air on Dec. 19 and Christmas day is from The Voice Season 9 winner Jordan Smith. Jordan Smith released the album ‘Tis the Season and it quickly became a huge success. Jordan Smith’s PBS show is drawing plenty of attention on social media, and many are excited to see the singer celebrate classics with his own, personal singing style.
