Brad Pitt Hopes To See His Kids On Christmas, Will Angelina Jolie Allow It?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie aren’t seeing eye to eye when it comes to their agreement for the custody of their kids.

While the couple reportedly made an agreement with one another in October, which granted the actress full custody of their six children, including Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8, Pitt now wants more time with his kids, and sadly, it is hard to say if he’ll get it in time for the holidays.

“Whether [Brad Pitt] sees the kids or not is still an open question, but he’s obviously hopeful that he will,” a source told Entertainment Tonight on December 14.

Earlier this month, Entertainment Tonight obtained court documents which confirmed that Brad Pitt and his estranged wife had been unable to agree on a custody schedule for their kids.

Brad Pitt’s actress wife filed for divorce on September 19 after two years of marriage and requested a judge grant her full physical custody of their children. Meanwhile, she requested Brad Pitt be given visitation with the kids.

Two months later, Brad Pitt’s attorney, Lance Spiegel, asked for his client to have more time with his kids by increasing the frequency of their therapy sessions to twice a week. However, in response to the court documents, Angelina Jolie’s attorney, Laura Wasser, said she goes by the advice of the therapists when it comes to their scheduling issues and stressed that the former couple should continue on with the agreement they made in October.

While Brad Pitt’s attorney continued to request he be given more time with his children, noting that the 52-year-old actor had “complied with every aspect of the therapy process” and endured a significant amount of time without his kids, he has reportedly had no luck quite yet. In fact, weeks ago, Jolie and Wasser formally filed their custody agreement, which has since been approved by a judge. In the agreement, Jolie retains physical custody of all six children.

“[Brad Pitt] was attempting to set up his own schedule with the children,” a source explained to Entertainment Tonight earlier this month after Pitt’s request for an emergency hearing to seal all documents related to his custody case was denied.

“He was not relying on the advice of the healthcare professionals [as to] what should be done. In order to keep everything in line with the custody agreement it had to be reinforced in court. Therefore, that forced Angelina’s side to file it within the courts,” the source explained.

At the end of last month, Brad Pitt endured a lonely Thanksgiving holiday without his kids in Turks and Caicos.

“They were never planning to see [Brad Pitt] on Thanksgiving per the schedule created by the children and the family therapist,” a source said.

Brad Pitt was accused of getting physical with his oldest son, 15-year-old Maddox, during a plane right from France to Los Angeles, which made a brief stop in Minnesota, and ultimately, two investigations were launched against him (one by the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services and another by the FBI). Two months later, both organizations closed their cases.

“In response to allegations made following a flight within the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States which landed in Los Angeles carrying Mr. Brad Pitt and his children, the FBI has conducted a review of the circumstances and will not pursue further investigation,” the FBI said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight in November. “No charges have been filed in this matter.”

Brad Pitt has not yet addressed his reportedly ongoing custody struggles with Jolie.
