Gwen Stefani Allegedly ‘Hates’ Miranda Lambert Split Songs: How Does Blake Shelton Feel?

As some of Taylor Swift’s exes have admitted, it’s awkward having a former sweetheart write split songs about you. Now that scenario is getting tuned up a notch, with Blake Shelton’s ex-wife Miranda Lambert penning breakup tunes about him. And according to two new reports, not just Blake but his girlfriend Gwen Stefani have some views on those split anthems.

Gwen reportedly is upset with Lambert’s success with her new music about her divorce, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, which cited sources detailing the allegations about Stefani’s feelings.

“Gwen is looking to have a ‘showdown’ with Blake Shelton’s ex-wife,” claim the insiders.

“[Gwen Stefani] hates the fact that Miranda has been singing about her heartache and divorce drama.”

But it’s allegedly not just the words to those breakup songs that have Stefani riled. The sources also claim that Gwen “might be jealous of Miranda and her recent album success.” Although Stefani and Shelton both worked on promoting their album, their sales resulted in “very little success,” according to the media outlet.

In contrast, although Lambert reportedly desired to allow her music to “speak for itself” rather than do lengthy interviews, her album The Weight of These Wings has taken flight and soared to the top of the charts.

“Insiders say that is what is bothering Gwen the most,” reported the media outlet.

“Even though [Stefani] and Blake have worked so hard to generate publicity with their showmance, it’s Miranda who is walking away as the quiet winner.”

However, when it comes to whether fans will get any comments from Lambert about her breakup song success or references to Stefani or Shelton, she’s made it clear that she’s taking the high road. Turning to social media, Blake’s ex revealed why she will not be discussing her heartbreak over Shelton, noted Fox News.

“I feel really strongly about the only talking I needed to do, I’ve done and it’s on tape,” Lambert asserted. “All the parts of me, the parts of the pain I went through, everything that happens to a person in their life — especially in the last couple years for me — is on this record.”

The Weight of These Wings contains two discs, “The Nerve” and “The Heart,” with the country music songstress co-authoring more than half of the songs. She expressed her wish that others will listen to the words and feel empathy.

“[I’m] mostly hoping that they’ll read into this music and feel their own journey,” revealed Shelton’s former wife.

“There’s nothing else you want as a songwriter but to write something down and someone go, ‘Hey, that’s my story too.'”

As for the success of The Weight of These Wings, it’s landed the country music queen yet another No. 1 album, swooping up the top spot on Billboard’s Country Albums chart the week after its release. The album also debuted at No. 3 on the all-genre Top 200 chart.

Although Lambert noted that she hopes others will experience their own journey when they listen to her music, In Touch Weekly is alleging that she had a very different goal in penning the words of her new songs, citing a source’s claim.

“Lambert’s new album is a tactful act of revenge towards ex Blake Shelton and his new love Gwen Stefani.”

Moreover, the source alleges that Gwen is “obsessing” over The Weight of These Wings. However, as for how Shelton feels about his ex-wife’s songs, his alleged “rule” about the music speaks for itself.

“[Stefani] hasn’t listened to it yet because Blake is currently living at her house in Beverly Hills,” revealed the insider. “He has a rule that Miranda’s music isn’t played — ever.”

In addition, the source alleged that one of the tracks on the album, “To Learn Her”, is an “obvious” snub to Gwen. The lyrics allegedly refer to Stefani.

“She’ll be happy, you’ll be sorry/Well, that’s just how it works.”

As for the success of The Weight of These Wings, it’s reportedly making the situation even more challenging.

“It has to be very hard for Gwen because Miranda is an absolutely beloved artist who is a household name all over the country,” added the insider.
