‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Season 7, Predictions For What’s To Come In The March To War

With the mid-season hiatus underway, fans of the show are looking for The Walking Dead spoilers to let them know what happens for our favorite characters in the second half of The Walking Dead, Season 7. When we last left off with our intrepid band of ne’er-do-wells, they had just lost three people. Spencer died by his own manipulation at the end of Negan’s knife, while Olivia was killed because of Rosita’s botched assassination attempt. And poor Eugene is now in the hands of the Saviors as well. The preview for the second half of the season raised more questions than answers, however, like, who the heck is Daryl beating on?

Warning: The following contains potential spoilers for The Walking Dead.

Who Dies?

First, let’s address the elephant in the room. Everyone wants to know who dies. After all, this show has set a precedent for killing off major characters at any point. Sometimes it feels like you’re watching a show scripted by George R.R. Martin. Nobody is safe.

Recent news highlighted that Sonequa Martin-Green, who plays Sasha, was cast as the lead in the new 2017 Star Trek: Discovery web-series. This has led to a ton of speculation that she is going to be killed off in the second half of Season 7 of The Walking Dead. However, slow your roll, folks. This might not happen, and here’s why.

First, Martin-Green’s casting for Star Trek was announced on December 14, 2016. Filming for Season 7 of The Walking Dead wrapped on November 18, 2016. Additionally, with the premiere of the 13-episode Star Trek: Discovery taking place in May of 2017, it’s a safe bet to estimate that filming will have already been completed by then. Why is this important? Because historically, filming for the next season of The Walking Dead begins in May before the premiere. This makes for very convenient scheduling for Sonequa Martin-Green. This also means that The Walking Dead spoilers pointing to her death are a bit premature.

The Garbage Pail Kids

By now, everyone knows that the boots that followed Rick and Aaron back to Alexandria from the boathouse and the mysterious figure that was watching Gabriel at the end of Episode 8 belonged to someone from a group called the “Garbage Pail Kids.” This group is unique to the show and looks to provide some way for Kirkman and his writers to provide some separation from the comic source material, especially after mirroring the first half of Season 7 so closely.

When Rick and the others meet the Garbage Pail Kids, they are initially friendly, if a little suspicious. However, something happens in the interim, which causes these new found allies to turn against the Alexandria survivors. What that incident is remains to be seen. The final episode of Season 7 has the Garbage Pail Kids actually actively fighting against Rick, Carl, and the other survivors.

Season 7 Finale

In another bit of The Walking Dead spoiler goodness, sources have pointed out that Season 7 is likely to end with a face-off between the Saviors and Alexandria going badly for Rick Grimes and company. The season will tease another line-up similar to Season 6’s ending with Rick and multiple other survivors on their knees as Negan goes off on one of his famous monologues. However, unlike the previous line-up, this one will be rudely interrupted by the Kingdom coming to the rescue.

Photos from TSDF’s Facebook page have been taken showing Ezekiel and multiple armored extras from The Kingdom interacting with the Alexandria gang. From the Episode 9 preview, we know that Carol and Morgan are also reunited with Rick and everyone else as well. Jesus knows of The Kingdom’s existence, so now that the decision has been made to fight the Saviors, it’s likely that he will be the one to lead Rick and Michonne to meet Ezekiel. Ezekiel is determined not to get involved in a fight with the Saviors, so it’s going to take something extraordinary to get him to that tipping point.
